Just dropped some babies in my first all organic coco peat bed.

I have 3 purple kush. 2 fruity delight. 2 white widow. 1 cheese. I have been growing these strains for sometime and are comfortable working with them.

I used 2 Earthjuice compatible, coco peat bricks for a 20x40 tub. I added the rccomended amounts of pearlite and earthworm castings.( Im pretty sure its 2 parts coco, 1 and 1)

Im using all earth juice nutrients and comparable products. Ive also worked with earthjuice for some time in soil and am very happy with it.

I have a 600w hydro farm MH. And a hortilux hps conversion bulb. My room is about 6x2.5. I have modified my reflector a bit to create an air cooled one. A little ghetto for my liking but it does the trick.

I have one fan in, 2 fans out because of the heat, which hasnt been much of a problem.

I am exited to see how the coco does because I have heard nothing but good things. Any questions, input, or comments are welcomed.bongsmilie

Heeeyyy, it's my first post, Welcome all!

Been 'ghost-reading' your site for quite some time now, so Here's my first feedback / questions:

Your tubs look fine with the coco - are you using any hydrocorn underneath all that peat?
-with buried airstones/aircurtains?
As well, this is my first time utilizing coco peat in an osmosis-type sub passive irrigated feeder setup and they seem to just love it. Alas, a LOT of nutrient is unrecoverable this way and wasted due to overall condensation out the top, via exposed surface area and plenty of airflow.
Otherwise, the plus side is that the roots take what they need and no more. I have to add at least 10l of solution every 2 days - I'm working on a covering for the top to see if I can cut that in 1/2.

Will let you know if any real complications arise nearing the end of the 'fruit' cycle :)

Keep up the excellent work, my fellow lovers of 'gods green!'

Peace!
