YEA YESSSSSSSSS, I do it before i transplant every time. I burried the stem, it will eventually root. no more light fluffy bottom nugs if you do this.

im sure you dont know what your onabout when you lollipop a plant you only grow the top bit right the rest doesnt grow also why would you have to transplant and root?????

EDIT: oh sorry i read your post wrong i though u ment i will get nice bottem nugs lol sorry

it is the genetics of the pot plant that keep em from growing back... pot does not regenerate leaves, it just moves on to the new growth, which is always at the top... the only thing that happens to old growth is it gets bigger and bigger. so, if you lollipop a plant, the stems below your top area remain nude and do not grow any new lower growth.

yo i heard if you cut to many to fast that it exposes the inside of the plant to fungus..also some of the lower plants are used as "sinks" to old excess energey for last stages of flowering. Some lower fan leaves are also good "sources" (energy intakers) cuttin could cause stress/slow growth...conclusion, leave ltha eaves that are green..only cut yellow ones or older leave no longer high in colour. Jus a thought, g'luck. Lollipops or for kids..time to grow big!!

when you see lollipopped plants theres normal at least 1 foot of just stem, makes it look like a lollipop, where you cut off that growth. Right before I transplant into my final buckets, I lollipop. I give her 5 days after I cut the growth to heal, or at least some, so there wont be 2x the shock, when I transplant. Now that extra foot of stem, I burry under in the new buckets. This will root later on. Now if you remain to veg, your lollipop'd plant will have almost all top nugs, and no lower fluffier nugs.

those lower branches dont utilize the energy like the top nugs will, so cut them off. Your wasting energy if you dont, the tops well become even bomber if you do.
