Why is my local grow shop pushing everyone to sign up for their newsletter? The last two times I went in, they were really trying to sell me on signing up for the newsletter so I can get coupons. This month they were offering 20% off Hortilux lamps.
It wouldn't have raised a flag if they just mentioned it casually and asked if I'd like to sign up, but they were really pushy.
I told them I didn't have email. They said they are also doing mailings so they could send it to my home address. I just said "no thanks", paid for my shit (in cash) and got the fuck out of there. Took the long way home too and watched the rearview the whole time.
There was also a dude in there looking at nutrients who reeked of dope. Made me wonder how much I smell sometimes. Anyway, I'd think that they would have asked him to leave the minute they "caught wind" of him. But no, they were politely answering his questions.
