ok as u can see in the photo im growing to plants 1 is 1 month old and 1 is 3 months old and the 1 month old is bigger then the 3 month old (weird) and whats the deal with skinny leaves is that just the strain ?

ok so im growing them in the aero garden the ph is at 6.4 , ive changed it to 5.7 like 5 times over 2 weeks and it allways goes back to 6.4 , it does get cold in the room tho at nite sometimes 14 degrees celcius , its not BUGS , and how much should i expect the ph to fluctuate ? and at what time lenghts ?any help would be much apreciated . ty

Looks like it has to do with your pH fluctuating. I would check it around twice a day to see how fast it rises. I'm not 100% sure, so I would do a little more research on it.

I would try using some good hydro nutes like fox farm or general hydro at about 2/3 the amount. If not already, get a air pump and airstone added to it. Mine looked like that with the AG nute tabs. I also add 2 cap fulls of hydrogen peroxide to mine and some superthrive and have done extremely well. I really don't even have to check the ph now and change water 1 time a week. At 2 months old they should be very large, mine is 2 months old now and here is a pic. First 5 weeks it was in the AG and moved it to a grow tent. first picture is at 1 month old, second is 2 months old.

Which nutes do you have?

A friend gave me a plant he kept small because he wanted to have it ready when his smaller plants were ready. He did little nutes and the light was far away since it was with seedings. At one month it looked almost identical to yours. He gave it to me, I added nutes to the AG, took off some of the lower leaves that were dead and now in 2 days it grew 2 inches. Might be your nutes are low, if the plant is growing like it should, you should be having to add a few cups to a 1/2 gallon of water to the AG each day, they can suck up alot of water.

Add a fishtank air pump to the aerogarden. It does make a big difference in how the plants react and the plant loves the extra oxygen, just a single fishtank airpump(they are cheap, about $8) and a airstone, nothing special. If you can I would also add 2 CFL bulbs 2700k, most bright white ones in store that cost about $1-$2 are 2700k and does make a difference. 2 23 watt bulbs is all you should need, and you can pick up some cheap shop light reflectors to put them in.

I use general hydroponics nutes, 15 ml per gallon of the bloom/10 ml for micro/5ml grow now that it is in full bloom, but I used 3/4 of that when in veg and in the AG. There is another possiblility, the AG lights I have seen the paperwork say they lose their output at around 6 months old, so you may not be getting full output on the lights too. My AG came with a set of bulbs to replace at 6 months.

I also keep my AG lights about 1 to 2 inches from the top of the plants, as close as I can get without them touching.
when I did my last AG veg, I on purpose kept the plants low and bushy, maybe too much, but I like the results and looks like it may be a nice harvest, I still use CFL lights on the sides of the plants in the grow tent.
I am a little paranoid of root rot, is the reason I use hydrogen peroxide, I was given a 2 week old clone in my last AG grow and the plant got root rot, brown and slime all over the roots, so after that I had to throw the plant out, so I use it for more of a percaution than anything else. I also use a Canna cannazyn, a enzym supplement that breaks down any roots that have died to prevent any root rot. The main reason I am doing this, is in the AG the roots tend to get bunched together, when I put them in the grow tent to flower, the roots were so pakced they started to brown and I was worried, once I added the cannazym and hydrogen peroxide the roots took off again and now are huge, so I am just going with what worked, plus I have read that hydrogen peroxide is good to give oxygen to the roots. The superthrive, isn't anything much, some say it is snake oil, others swear by it. I feel the plant is doing very very good and is my first time ever growing anything really, so I am just using what has worked for me. I had alot of issues in my grow and now I feel I worked most of them out, so just passing on some advice. I am doing my plant now with fully submerged roots and I have a greater chance of it, so being safe. I am using botanticare Sweet now in the AG and the flowering plant, not sure if it is doing anything, but wasn't expensive, so going to try it. I stopped using the superthrive in the bloom stage since I read places it is best to use in veg only.

Good luck, your plants look like they can recover, just have to figure out if it's ph, nuts low or low light output.

dude thanks for your input , i think i know the cause , the other week i emptyed out my ag and there was brown slime EVERYWHERE ! i though this was algue even tho i thought algea was green so i scrapped the rez clean and put them back in , the plants roots are also dark brown ! i think its root rot cos whenever i clean out the tank thers little bits of root everywhere , ima pick up some peroxide thanks alot .

Yup, brown slime, sounds like root rot. Add more than a few capfulls if so, want to knock it down quick or they will die and change your water every couple days till it clears up. The fishtank airpump will help prevent root rot also. I think I read somewhere if you have root rot to use 1/4 cup of hydrogen peroxide per gallon until the root rot clears. I will try to find the post I seen about that to confirm, but hurry or they will die. Also, that is what is probably causing your ph to change from the dead plant waste. In the future the only way to keep from getting it is to use another airpump in there, if the roots don't have proper oxygen they die. My AG's airpump is weak and puts out very little bubbles. your roots should be a bright white with little to no brown at all. It is safe to use peroxide all the time. Good luck and keep us updated if it helps!

i cant use an airpump the old folks wont let me , i read somewhere that hydrogen peroxide helps to air the water , do u think the roots could survive with no air pump
?

why couldn't you use a fish tank air pump, you can get one for under $15 that is silent and nobody would even know. I have a 4 output one and can't even hear it really. your aerogarden has a air pump in it, if it is the same type as mine. Otherwise I would use peroxide, but you need more air in there. If you have the airstone on your AG, you could also take the one that came with it off and look for flexible bubble wand, that might work too.

Read post #4.

Don't have to tell anyone ;) But if that is totally out of the question just add a flexible bubbler where the AG airstone is. I've never counted on just hydrogen peroxide alone, but canna caanazym is also good product to break down dead roots. Also, move your plants to right above where the bubbles come up in the AG, right now getting oxygen to the roots is more important than light placement until your roots get healthy. The airstone in my AG doesn't put out much(I think they clog after awhile from nutes, I even added a different type airstone to my stock one.

my ag dosnt have and airpump with it just a water pump , its a classic model , but i pulled out the old airpump i had its a duel output , the plants look really bad now , they have stopped growing and are dying rapidly not sure if i can save them and i have no seeds left ! i bought some hydrogen peroxide its 3% how much do u think i should add to the 3 litre res the ag has ?

If they are dying I would add about a 1/2 cup of hydrogen peroxide, change the water often and when you see a sign of them clearing, lower the water level on the roots, so they are not submerged. Without the air getting to the roots it will be very difficult to get them healthy. Cannazyme would help you also. Being a AG is basically deep water growing(it just isn't deep), the roots will die without air. I'm not sure how all the AG's work, mine is basically a tray with a light and a single airstone in the center. I went through the brown root issue, sucks, but was before I started using cannazyme and hydrogen peroxide, plant wilted and the roots were covered in brown goo. I just threw out my plant, but I did have the issue later on when I transplated and my airpump broke, once I bought a new one, added the peroxide and canna, after 3 days the roots grew in 1 day over 9 inches.
I just seen you have a dual airpump too, stick the airstone in the roots, need as much air as possible to get in there.

I did a search and seen you can do 2 parts water to 1 part hydrogen peroxide( so if you have 3 liters, use 1 liter of hydrogen peroxid). It is supposed to be very safe to use as the 3% stength. Hope it helps!

alrite ill try half a cup of this stuff and see what happens , ill try find some Cannazyme but im in aus , victoria, might only be a us product ill see ,

After reading up more on hydrogen peroxide I feel better about using it and many people use it all the time. I wouldn't go on a all out hunt for cannazyme, but go for the 2 parts water to 1 part hydrogen peroxide, you need to get those roots healthy, then after it is, you can back down to a 1/2 cup all the time. It might be too late now, but these plants are pretty tough and can take alot. I also read you can even add it to your spray water if you see any rotten areas on plant to stop the rotting. The Good thing is hydrogen peroxide is pretty cheap(at least here it is), I can get 2 bottles for $1 at places. Even if the plants wilt and look like they are dead, give it a few days from the shock they may recover. Good Luck!
