Little Help Please

Good Morning Folks,

I've got a few ideas as to the possible root of my problem, however I thought I'd post in this section in hopes of someone with far more experience may drop some knowledge.

Environment:
CFL bulbs
Temps ~80*F, 30-40%RH
3 gal Grow Bag
Promix HP
Botanicare PureBlend Pro Grow
Tap H20 - left out for 24-36hrs (I also supplement some Rain Water when I can) - pH'd to ~6.3

As you'll see in the pics I'm posting some of my earliest/lower leaves have a nice yellow to them, with one minor rust spot on one of the leaves. I'm sure that my issues was a combination of problems, I had done a transplant to the new grow bag and then being the nab I am, I fully over watered the poor girl. I'm sure it appears to be some sort of excess/deficiency likely N but this is where I bow out to those with more knowledge and experience. You'll also notice a bit of "clawing" on all the newer leaves, I'm chalking that up to the over water as it's gotten better in the past few days as I'm just leaving it alone.

Thank you very much in advance !

Thanks for the reply Po Boy I appreciate it... I was really hoping the same but can never really be too sure as one of the leaves does appear to be getting worse off but none if any of the new stuff is touched.

Any other ideas or opinions from others ?

Usually, with discoloration at the tips like that for me is a nute burn, but with your other conditions, and you didn't mention any feed schedule, I would go ahead and feed light to try and give some N and some Ca.
Also, I would try and drop your temp a little.
My plants love rain water, and I haven;'t had to feed for over a week like I normally would have had to feed 2-3 times if I had just been giving tap water.

Thanks very, very much Bakatare really do appreciate it. I had given the plant a bit of a heavier feed as I was remembering that the Botanicare stuff is a bit weaker although I had some of that yellowing prior so I was hoping to give it what it needed. lol oops, lesson learned.

As for the rain water, I'm quite happy to know it's more than ok to use as I managed to get me another bucket (8L) full last night and I will use that till it's gone. I'm going to be watering today so I'll take your advice and see how she goes.

Thanks again !!

I use Sunshine Mix #4 Advanced, similar to what you're using. First don't worry about your temps in the 80s LOL I wish I could keep mine there. During the summer my canopy is just at or under 100. I've reached 105 and no I don't run CO2 and my plants produce ok. It's not perfect but I get plenty of pot to meet my needs. I also run a 600 or 1000 HPS in my flower room.

As for lower yellowing that looks to me like lack of light penetration. The other thing I would do is lower your pH to 5.5 to 5.8 is where I pH down to and then let rise until 6.2 or 6.3 and then pH back down.

How high are your nutrients? looks like it might be a combinaion of nutrient burn with a nitrogen deficiency. try running PH adjusted distilled water through the system then add a lower concentration of fertlizer (around 600-800 ppm) and see if they pick up. To confirm too high of nutrient you could test the run off by straining it and using a ppm meter and PH meter o see where you are at. good luck Ill have my fingers crossed for ya.

Thanks for the reply !! You know, tbh I never even considered it could be a lack of light penetration... It's an interesting prospect, although I'm sure the yellowing is more a burn/deficiency but then again if I was sure I wouldn't be posting in this forum !! As far as the temps...I'm actually super happy they're where they are, lol I was up to 90 at one point and figured I should add more air flow and that dropped me down a lot. So I'm good with that aspect of my grow, its the water/nutes that I'm trying to dial in now.

@Sladewinters - I can't honestly answer your questions, I don't have a TDS meter, although I'm looking at an inexpensive one via Amazon just so i can add a bit more information to my arsenal. Thank you for your reply though ! it's greatly appreciated

EDIT: The plan is to add a small amount of just rain water this morning, and check on it later today and perhaps a very small watering with light like 1/4 strength nutes.

Bleaching in between veins is usually mag def. It won't hurt to give your plants a lime drench. 1tbsp/gal water. There's your mag and your calcium in one shot. Epsom salts gives you mag also and absorbs faster.
