That's some splotchy coloring looks amazing though. What's that frosty leaf on the right and does anyone know how to upload a profile pic. I'm new here but, not new at all. Have an IG under same name. Popping some highlighter ( bubble bath x peppermint marker ) soon. So wanted to join the thread.
I had that same thought. What’s that frosty leaf over there? Lmao

it’s probably the same plant, just a leaf closer to a budsite

I have 5 highlighters about week 4 going now. 4 are short. About 2 feet shorter than everything else sprouted at the same time. I’m guessing permanent marker is shorter because the other cross with it is on the shorter side as well but not as bad as the highlighter. All have hints of permanent marker at times but one is just overpowering marker smell all the time. Of course that’s the one that struggles to root. Have one cutting left that still has a chance. Seems like all the buds will be smaller but too early to know for sure.

Sounds awesome bro and thanks for the info. I expected highlighter to be short and next to the bahama bussdown which both parents are lanky sativa based..? Oh boy this should be a fun pairing. Keep me posted with pics in the late stage.

Shouldn't disappoint. Mostly because they don't stray far if at all from the original genepool to come up with their "new" crosses.
That's the kind of breeder I like. One that doesn't simply cross their best with everything popular without first hunting the best pheno's to cross them too. I hate thinking you've chosen the best pairing. Only to realize months later it's a flop wannabe and now you gotta hunt a whole 10 pack for a winner.

I don't see how untested "inbreeding" (with plants they didn't even select) is cause for applause?
I think what he's trying to say is if you get a zkittlez cross from them, you can guarantee to find something close to the original zkittkez. That not making their own selections is why you get what you expect, because they didn't work the strains into an undesired path....if that makes sense.

I always hear breeders like "I took this to F3 or F5 or something....and sometimes it's not what you're looking for at all because they selected some left field shit within the gene pool, completely different than the original strain you were looking for.

100% not cause for applause. Not straying from the cookie genepool just results in watered down junk that they sell for $300 a pack with a new name and some pretty artwork. They are just a purely for profit company.

I have to agree. For example, if you look at perfect tree on IG at their original coco milk regular from early this year last winter ish. It was a beautiful red hot looking flower colors oozing from flower to the leaves. But then they spent all year creating an S1 that's nothing like what people expected and an entire new line of crosses of the same old lineup. Like come on. You have to put the work and patience into this.

I had success with the Croissant freebies I grew out. Earthy terps with a bit of gas in there. Pretty plants and buds with bag appeal. Not worth keeping around forever, though.

Got two Ethanols (Motorbreath#15 x Zoap) in flower now. Have cloned both just in case I find a keeper. One is vigorous and had to be moved outside as she was too tall for the 2x4 tent, and the other was shorter and remains inside. I'll get more of an idea what they are going to be like once the flowers start to develop.

Just popped some Highlighter (Bubble Bath x Permanent Marker) as well, so will report back on how they get on.

Often times the dna of your so called "original strain" is full of variation in itself, adding to your widely strayed phenotypical expressions seen in s1 and hybrid lines.

Just got a pack of Lit OG F2s with a freebie cherry dosi x Lit OG. Already in wet paper towel. Looks like two runs from now is gonna be all Lit OG crosses with Rainbow OG in veg. Hope they’re good.

Have Highlighter, permanent OZ, ice cream zoap, popsicles and lemon cherry belts all at about week 7. Damn spider mites showed up about week 4-5. Of course the place mailing the predator mites closed for a week and a half the day after I ordered them so they won’t be here until next week. Hope I can keep their numbers down in mean time but won’t be ordering from ARBICO again

Those LIT og crosses sound like fire. Have u tried playing music on your grow? Word is the vibrations from the music crush the mites. They don't really have a skeleton. Can't remember where i read it, will look it up later on tonight. I play music and have never ever had mites to worry about. Good luck
