ok bare with me because im not used to growing with lights. its always the big yellow dog for me. any ways i was walking down the lighting section in a close my grocery store and GROW BULB caught my eye, its just a little 50 watt grow bulb. my question is what kind of bulb is that classified as ? is doest give much info on the box.

The bulb is a peice of crap,dont waste your money on it,you would need atleast 10 of them to veg your plants & even more to bud with,if your going indoors just bite the bullet & buy a minimum 400 watt hps,cheaper in the long run.

well its for a small area only like 1.5 feet by 1.5 feet and like 3.5 feet tall so im not gana buy that big of a light

i was thinkin like 3 of these lights or mabie 2 200W incondesent bulbs

It'll never cut the mustard,check out some of the cfl grows on this site,cfl's will do the job but by the time the plants reach flowering most people have so many cfl's going that they could of got a 400 watt hps to start with.

Keep in mind were not talking big money here for a real grow light,you can pic up complete hps systems brand new for about $130 shipped right to your door.

Incandescent bulbs are worthless for growing.
