alrite guys there is prolly a thread for this already but i have 4 60 watt compact flourescents they put out about 900 lumens i have four germinated seeds is this suffiscent

Not sure about the lumens but the wattage sounds okay. Also, this depends on how many plants you have. Should be okay for one or two just don't expect a big yield. Maybe a cool half oz between the two. Of course this also depends on the length of your lights.

You could always add more light later. They'll be fine for the first couple of weeks.

HID lights? depending on size and bulb type, they can get be very pricey. i got my 400w high pressure sodium for $200. this came with the ballast, a sonagro bulb, vented hood, and tempered glass shield. and yes they all require a ballast system.

i have 4 just sprouting plants with 3 compact flouros 60w each with 900 lumens each will this setup work for a while

Hi Super..

You can move them outside.. but the transition from CFL's to THE GREAT ALMIGHTY SUN.. may be a bit much for your plants.... you will need to watch them very very closely .. check on them every hour for the first couple days... the sun may CRUSH your babies.. you may need to transition them slowly...

maybe just a couple hours of sunlight the first day.. and then add another HOUR everyday there after..

im just going to take them outside to bloom cause the smell i could never get awat with it in my closet and it will be fall and they will be triggered to bloom

my light meeter showes that the sun puts out about 2000 lumes so i try to get a light that puts out around that much
