Lights and yield with pics

Right now i am in roughly day 44 with my first grow ever; Her name is margarit and i think, judging by leaf size growth etc, that she is dominantly and Sativa. Right now i am dealing with a buy as i go ghetto grow that was adjusted each time margarit blew my mind by growing so healthily and beautifully; (She started in a shoe box with just a halogen lamp on a styrofoam cup). Now she is in day 44 and her nuggets though looking frostily dank, with an intoxicatingly sweet aroma and i feel she isnt looking as fat as she should be.
I grow with distilled water on good soil with some High N Miracle gro for veg, maybe 10 doses during long veg period... first grow plus i topped her. and also a higher P miracle gro Bloom buster for about 4 doses so far since i induced her into flowering, plus she showed sex under 20 hours of light?!? i have read about it maybe being a self flowering strain...

Looks like your lights may be to far away to me from looking at one of your pics anyway.
Makes sure that your hid bulb is about 12" away with a fan blowing on it and on the plants.
Using molasses or carboload will help to fatten the buds.
You will never get the yield from a halogen that you would get from a proper grow bulb

sorry if this is boring to some gracious helpers sorry but the last thing as i put in a pic and referred to is that my lighting is bogus but effective... somewhat... i think she looks good but not full enough. I added approx. 25,000 k by 15,000 by two 100 watt HPS flood light Home Depot (Tied to my shirt hang closet pole thingy with shoestring haha. and about 10,000 in the new socket size CFL's from HD ranging from 60 to 150 watt. Blunted of some maui now i think it was 6 60 watt (13 watt) 2 100 watt (23 watt) and 2 big 150 watt (34 watt) cfls and the two Hps

i answered everything you said, thank you by the way, and yeah i grew in marijuana cultivation as Margarit grew. Today she is on the floor with in about 10 in roughly under the hps but angled as to she doesnt get burned.

right on, they look beautiful, i'm on day 30 in flowering and mine look just like those in the second pic.

quick question, my buds feel hard, the hairs are half orange, (but have been the whole time) and they don't seem to be getting any bigger, is it possible that they are neer the end of flowering at day 30? they look just like csage's pics here, the second two

what i did was went to Radio shack and they have a handheld microscope 60 to 100 times magnified with light and focus for only 12 bucks when the Trichomes, Little crystals on leaves and buds turn from milky white to an amber shade is when they are done. there is no strain that could flower in just over four weeks even with optimum conditions. it is easy to see each individual trichome under 60 times magnified i remove miniscule pieces from my buds to look at the trichs. hope this helps Pics?

Well i want to thank everyone again for their previous response and checking back in on margarit. She is doing well with her petite but dank buds. Unfortunately the lens on my camera broke, but i plan on getting it fixed before harvest so i should have more pics soon. My question is this... All the fan leaves have begun to loose their clorophyll, from what i have read that you usually have two to three more weeks, generally till she is done because she is putting all remaining effort into the buds.?. Any one have a comment to maybe the correctness of that? Thanks again ~Sage

anyone have any advice i have just calculated that she has been flowering now for about nine weeks or 60 days or so. She still looks pretty, but pretty bare i have been told that the buds swell alot at the end i am hoping this is true.. any advice.

they should swell a little..but if its sativa its most likely a longer flowering plant..like 12-14 weeks..

but all my fan leaves are yellowing and now falling she is a more sativa i believe here is a picture of her fan leaves two weeks ago... any estimat on percentage mine was about 65% sativa and 35 ind. Thanks for your response...

I'd say about 60/40 sativa, indica.

anyone have any input on time duration following the yellowing/dying of margarits fan leaves... bud leaves still healthy green

no one has had any experience with yellowing leaves near harvest? I just checked and the color of my trichs is still 95% clear. i just want to know if anyone has experienced their leaves yellowing and falling off and if so how much time was left after this fan leave extinction...

well here is margarit at day 65 flowering... her airy buds are a little disappointing but she is my first and will be one of my most remembered harvests. She smells sweet and unique.... thinking she is about 60-40 sativa indica. can any one guestimate on how long i have left... i want to let her go long as i can to get the most dank bud. The trichs seem to becoming clouded so i know she is getting some what close. anyone have any input?

yeah i stopped feeding the nutes about 2 weeks ago and since i have just added alittle bit of molasses to my water... oh man i am getting excited... is my seeminly small yield due to just too little light, that is what i am breaking it down to.
