lights and seeds

Hi everyone, I posted this in newbe central, and I think it belongs here. I am making room in my grow space to dedicate to producing seeds, and I was wondering if the amount of light the plants receive will effect the seed count or quality of the seeds. I know it will effect the size and density of the flower, but I'm not worried about bud. Can I use minimal light and still get a good amount, and good quality seeds?

Thanks in advance!

I wouldn't skimp on light. Seed production is resource intensive. The only breeding plants that do well on less lifhts, in my experience, are males in all stages of life. Try to get your seeding plants more potassium too, it's more important for seed producing plants. There are probably other feeding considerations that are different when producing seeds, but I haven't exhaustively looked into that. Any vets here who want to run down the required conditions and feeding that will help seed-producing plants to thrive? I'd like to know what others say as well.

If you're making seeds grow the plants as if you were growing for bud. Same nutrients and as much light as possible.

Thanks for the input! I've been looking for plant nute needs for good seed production. if anyone knows of a good article or video please post a link!
They would work. But you'll want as much light as possible. If you can grow bud with the light you can grow bud with seeds.
I was thinking of building an LED lighting system. Will LED be ok to flower?

Had bought a ghost cab and the ufo went out less than a year regular use. So I had to substitute for cfl since my super Nova don't fit in it.
