I am wondering if its alright to start cutting back light to a 19/5, 2 weeks into sprouting???

Small, It's my understanding that anything more than 18 hours of light should be fine for vegging.

Two weeks "into sprouting?" Are you thinkin about starting the flowering cycle?

Why would you cut back? Why not leave it where it is until you are ready to start flowering?

I was thinking about cutting light back at when the room door has to be closed. This is the reason y it is getting so hot in there at night time. I was thinkin about putting them on a vegetation timer to shut off at 12 and come on at 5 just for vegging. Then 12/12 obviously for flowering when i start using my HPS lamp

Why not give them 18/6 or even 17/7, that will lower temps.

stick to 18/6 the point of diminishing returns occurs at 18 hours light then it loses effectiveness get a couple of oscillating fans and cut some vent holes in the top and bottom of your closet good luck
