 Well so.

Im thinking about starting to grow a bit for myself like 1 or 2 plants.:hump:

And i have a single tube fish light but im not sure what kind. It like glows a white blue colour so i was guessing on a couple of sites and its either a blue & white light emiting tube or its just a cool white one. Would it work?

Also because the cupboard im converting is a little cold should i use a heater to get it to the right tempriture. Or would the light make the cupboard warm enough? its 1x1 meter and 4 ft high.:-|

And i want to keep the plants short and bushy what should i do to make this work? or is it even possible :-?

The soil.
im thinking about just buying some soil from b&q or a garden center. but im not sure weather theyll work.

Help would be appreciated =] cause iv read alot of your guides and posts and you all seem like you could do this without trying atall. sorry for being a bother.

Can you give me an idea of what kind of yield you would be happy with? How many ounces are you looking for, considering that a cycle would be about 90 days? You're cabinet sounds like a nice size but the headroom may be a slight problem.

The light you are talking about isn't worth your time or effort. If you really want to use a cfl go to walmart and buy a shop light with 2 T8 bulbs. You can use it to veg with. You can buy a cool and a warm bulb. $20.00 or less. How cold is cold? You should be around 78 to 81 degrees. A small fan also but don't let it blow on the plants all the time. Sounds like you might be able to cut a hole in the top to put a fan to draw the heat out if it gets to hot. If you want a short plant look for some White Widow seeds. Try to find some Fox Farms soil. You can use Miricle grow but don't get timed release soil. When you water it will more than likely kill your seedling. You are no bother. Ask before you leap.

Remember this. The bigger the pot the bigger the plant. ViRedd is right about the size of the cabinet. 4 feet sounds to short for what you are trying to do. I think 1 meter is just over three feet. That could work but 4 feet high with the light sounds like a no go. Also now that I think about it you can't even get a shop light in it. You need to go back to the drawing board my friend. Sorry:sad:

my 2 cents on this is that you should be fine and I would use cfl's you want to look for lights that have a high kevlar temp like 6500k these lights produce more blue light waves. which is what the plant uses for cell development. normally smaller wattage cfl's give of the most lumen per watt. for the heat I would get a 60w halogen grow light its or you could even throw a regular soft white or something in there. this is only for heat and it should be enough to keep the area nice and warm. as long as the cupboard don't have a lot of draft. all of these supplies for lighting and fixtures can be found at walmart.

The height is fine. I use 400 watt hps, and I start flowering very early sog style, and the plants only end up like 2 feet tall with an oz or two of bud on them -- 6 or 7 plants to a grow = 1/2 pound. Just supercrop, scrog or lst the bitches down. Personally i would invest the $$ in a real light though, so you can reap some real rewards.
