I Started Useing A 400w Sodium Light But I Was Told That Sodiums Are Not Great For Veggitation My Plant Has Only Been Under The Sodium For 3 Weeks And Has Stoped Growing I Was Told That Metal Hal Bulbs Were Good For Veggitation Is It Ok To Change Over To Metal Hal After Useing A Sodium For 3 Weeks ?

I veg under an hps with the enhanced bulb all the time.
If you have the MH bulb, go for it.

I don't think it stopped growing because of this light though. Is it root bound possibly?
Peace

You need to find out why your plants stopped growing first because the cause isn't the HPS light. My guess is, it's probably not ventilated properly - if the plant doesn't get a constant supply of co2 it'll stop growing. Sort this out first, then think about what light you want to use.

And yes, Metal Halide is a far better light to veg under than HPS.

MH is ideal for veg...but unless you have a digital ballast or a switchable magnetic coil ballast you cannot just stick a standard MH lamp in the socket. It will fire and run...but I've seen em EXPLODE after a few hours and make a mess of hot glass melting into shit everywhere. In addition, doing so will void your ballast warranty from most manufacturers.

I agree with Babygro..it's something else.

good luck
