lighting question

I am putting a hydro veg in my closet and what i have in mind is 2 systems 1 for the mothers and clones the other for the new seed growth. I want to use a 400 Watt mh light will this be possible since i have to keep in mind i will have to adjust the lighting. I know the mothers will be much bigger than the new growth and wouldnt i want to get that light down close to the new growth after it gets a bit of age on it. My thinking is that since its a 400 mh i should be ok due to the power of the light.

:bigjoint:Is this a good idea?

sounds good.

theres so many lighting setups. i prefer hps.

but yeah some people go mh and then add in an hps during flow. idk all depends on strain/quanity etc.. anyways hollar

Go HPS with the enhanced blue spectrum bulb. About 50-100 dollars for one usually. Depending on the size of your closet a 400 might be too much. How much space do you have?

Depending on your space and since you said its in your closet I'd say go with CFLs. They give off much less heat than hps and mh lights and cost a lot cheaper to run. And you can definitely get a good yield from them too. Just look at how nice my one plant is from only 6 CFLs-47 inches tall, over 20 main tops, day 15 of flowering:arrow::weed:
