Lighting Question? Digital worth it?

Ok I'm finally going to order my lights for my 3.3x3.3x6.5 tent. I'm going with a 400w since I plan on doing maybe 3-4 girls at the most. Anywas I have narrowed it down to about 2 different setups. I would luke some advice from you guys.

First is going digital worth the xtra money? It's not that much more.

Second, should I get a 6" air cooled hood like an easy cool or euro or should I spend the xtra money and get a 6" cool tube. I plan on venting the tent with a fan and ducting sucking air off the light and out the tent.

Digital ballast ot timer or both?

600 watt best advise you will get

I would agree with the 600w . It will cost more later when you figure out that is what you need. That 400w for the area does not take into account a less than new bulb, thick canopy,.......and every thing else that makes the 400w less than optimum.

From what i've read digital is better. Its a more consistent current, more reliable, and will allow the bulb to burn brighter than a magnetic ballast or whatever. I second the 600w as well, because it is the most efficient of all the HID lighting options though, as i cannot comment on anything else stated. Also remember this is info that i've researched and that i do not have specific experience with.

I second that "second that" I did not even read any thing here. These are just my random thoughts while I was thinking of something different.

yes digital ballasts are way worth it. less heat and more efficient power consumption. also for the little bit in price difference go wit the six hundred
