Lighting question...clear plastic?

Ok, I have a lighting question. See, Im growing my buds on my back pourch. But to keep nosey neighbors or helicoptors from seeing them, my dad is wanting to buy a clear plastic(because of where they will be setting, they wont be seen with the plastic) and make like a 'tent' for them with this plastic. My concern is that the sun wont be able to reach them through this plastic. They would be getting natural outside air flow from the sides, but no sun. Would it be wise to do this, if I cut some holes in the plastic for the sun to get to them?

It will work, BUT - they sell special plastic that allows all the suns rays through, not just any plastic will work. Find it on the internet.

If you really wanted great results, And ur bulding a house for them anyways, why not invest some cash, I assume you have some. No offense if you dont, im poor as hell myself. But you should try to make a small green house. It wouldnt take all that much work i dont think. and seems u wanna make a tent anyways... Im just sayin, youll probably get better results.
