solar rips are fun..I started a thread about them a long time ago that got very good reception... I"ll pull it up.

its where you use the sun with a magnifying glass to cherry your bowl. its rather nice.

I'd like to get some hemp ropes... wands seem like too much work... hemp rope seems perfect..

but yeah solar ripping is the only thing I can think of that you haven't listed...

another thing you can look into if you are willing to spend a little bit of money is on the herb iron. Its a fancy sautering iron basically. Its made specifically for vaping bowls

I vape...combusting is not a good thing regardless how you light it up.
other than the fact that we've been smoking since the stone age and our lungs are adapted to moderate amounts of cannabis smoke. some people are good with vapes, others are not such as myself and my buddy.

so its cool that the vape is good for you and that you like it, but don't try to say that combusting is not a good thing. they did studies on people of Jamaica and didn't see any major lung problems among 98% of chronic smokers.

I've been using the Hemp Wick. It works for joints, bongs, blunts, etc.....
The taste is always much more defined than with butane or matches(sulfur).
Interested in the Herb Iron, but haven't heard much real feedback. Anyone..?
All the Best!

Your post is comforting- I have a $200 bong and I was thinking of getting a vaporizer for the supposed health benefits, but now I might just save the money and stick with the bong for now :)

I prefer bongs myself but having smoked many a vaporizer in my time, and doing plenty of research into them they're SO much healthier for you. Smoking plant matter is bad for you, bottom line. Obviously putting ANYTHING other than air into your lungs is probably going to do some sort of damage, but vapes are definitely a shit ton healthier than any other method of ingesting THC, including edibles (since all edibles have to contain some sort of fat for the THC to bond to.)

Your lungs are resilient like any other body part, they will repair damage done to them with time, but if you're a daily toker your lungs never have time to recoup, so you're going to be doing some damage there.

other than the fact that I toked like I usually would with vape and it fucked up my lungs, gave me bronchitis first which lead to pneumonia... every time I use a vape now my lung gets inflamed.

when I smoke this doesn't happen.

based on your logic, this couldn't exist, because vaping is SO much healtheir for you.

sorry but you're exactly like everyone else I"m talking about, they believe vaping is so much healthier because of 3 or 4 studies, that don't even measure all the contaminants that you're getting MORE of because vaporizing is boiling vs combustion which releases more gasses you would not normally get with smoke.

my point is this, we've all been smoking since the stone age, our lungs are rather ADAPTED to moderate smoking.

now vaping at the same level we smoke may be possible for some people, but it's certainly not possible for me and a few other people I know, to say that it's healthier than smoking 100% of the time is utter idiocy.

you're still inhaling a substance that is not air, it IS irritating to the lungs, for some moreso than smoke.

I mean there's no way you've done more 'research' than I have. there's only 3-4 studies out there, there really isn't much more to study other than the scientific aspects to it, the boiling aspect is what is inherently exposing you to more gasses you would not normally be exposed to with smoking.

my buddy has modified a soldering iron to light his bowls and bongs, you can really taste the difference when no butane is involved, no flame at all for that matter

Ok this is seriously just nonsense. Vaporizers heat weed to a much lower temperature than butane lighters, in fact when you're using a traditional lighter you're adding small amounts of butane to each of your hits, you're inhaling all the same things that are involved in a vaporizer PLUS butane PLUS plant matter. Using a vaporizer doesn't magically create new 'gasses' that wouldn't be present if you used a normal lighter, vapes aren't magic or alchemists, they can't create things that aren't there using a lighter. You're discrediting vaporizers because you have some odd personal reaction to them, that's like me saying that peanuts aren't delicious because I'm allergic to them.

Cannabinoids and THC open up the bronchial tubes when inhaled, where carcinogenic materials (such as burned plant matter) have the opposite effect. More than likely your bronchitis isn't a result of vaping, but a result of you already being susceptible to bronchial and pneumonia-like infections because of years of smoking (perhaps even COPD which can be genetic and/or caused by long term exposure to carcinogenic materials in your lungs.) When you vape, your bronchial tubes open up more which could have simply made you more aware of the damage already done to your lungs and it could have even been the catalyst that triggered your bronchitis by loosening up the fluids and other crap already present in your lungs from long term smoking.

Regardless of what happens when you use vaporizers, I'm sure there are thousands of people who claim the exact opposite, that smoking irritates the lungs more.

Personally I just like bongs more than vapes, but not because I'm unaware of the physical side effects, just because that's how I like to smoke.

sorry but your logic just doesn't correlate with my experiences in real life.

no point in further discussion of this.
