lighting issues need some advice

i am running a sunn suplly havest pro switchable 1000w. i was runing a timer on it for 18h a day and yesterday it kicked off for no reason couldent figure it out why. thought bulb burnt out put in hps. worked so i thought was bulb got a new one. then it worked for a bit then kicked off again that same night took it of timer tried to plug it in the bulb barly glowed for awhile not like start up. so i unpluged it waited then it didnt do anything. so i waited then it worked but timer will still not work for it idk if this will be a recuring issue or not seems to be though what does this sound like to you guy thank you.

Or... You could be just exceeding the load of your timer....
Your balast is rated at 1000 watts output...
What is your timer rated at? Look at the electric name plate, all electric items with a UL label have one...
Plug timer direct into power sorce...
Check every 5-10 minutes... if it doesn't cut out, it's timer....
Sometimes, power equipment uses a little more power [amps] when it gets older...
What worked fine yesterday... could blow out today....

Make sure you clean the lamps off [your finger's touch them?] after you re-install... something like Rub Alcohol wipe..

I have a heavy duty timer and when I plugged my fan into it with my ballast it blew it. Now I run the fan off a strip and the ballast into the timer. No problems so far.
 
thanks for the advice my timers says on the back of it this 125v 15 amps 1875 resistive 10 amps 1250 watts tungston i only ran my ballast of this because i was afard of overload idk ipluged it in to just the outlet today it seems to still work idk
