Hello all at ROI I'd like to start off by saying happy fathers day to all you dads out there, hope it's a good one.

But anyways I plan on using a 150w hps light with about 60w of cfl for supplemental lighting. Would you say this is enough light for one decent sized plant? My grow space is pretty small, about 2.5ftx2ft

i say that is fine.
how are you setting up the cfls?
i would suggest using them for side lighting.

perfect for a one plant grow..do the job right and you can easily see an ounce..ounce and a half using that 150 and cfl's for side lighting

The cfl's are lined up vertically on each wall to make sure they get even light coverage, and the hps is above. It looks like it should be promising :)

Cool sounds like you got that covered. Now just make sure you have good soil, not MG or store bought unless its pro-mix. Good veg and bloom nutes, nice clean ph'd water, plenty of air circulation and if you dont or cant afford a carbon filter Ona block linen works wonders,e specially for a one or two plant grow. You can get a cannister of it on amazon for $10 and it lasts for a month or so.

Oh and another random question, I just got a bulb from a street light from my stepfather. Does anyone know what wattage those lights run at? And I'm fairly sure it's a HPS bulb
