LIghting Help... walmart grow lights.

LOng to short. I bought some feminized BIg bang autflowering seeds. I needed money, figured why not grow it since i smoke it. i saw these grow lights at walmart for 11$ thought it was a fabulous idea but after reading some posts on here about them, the overall resonse is they are fine for vegetation but they wont work for flowering.... Can anybody recommend some alteranative options that are cheap and will also be sufficient for flowering.... thank youuu!

i use cfl's from walmart for flowering, the 2700k(soft) GE 26w that are around $2 a bulb
they work just fine

This is a very easy, cheap option, yields won't be crazy but you can get a nice plant. Go to Home Depot or some large hardware store and you can buy even more powerful CFL's as well as the Y-shaped sockets for multiple bulbs.

you can get them cheaper if you go to home depot or lowes and buy them in contractor packs....

probably varies by location a bit, but they are real cheap
i bought a 6 pack for a smidgen over $12 about 2 years ago, been using them ever since
though it is time for some fresh bulbs

That's wonderful! Looks like I won't be spending a shit load to let my baby enjoy her flowering process! Are soft white cooler then daylight bulbs, like will they boost the temperature less then the daylights 6500k I use for vegging?

i'd say they're about the same, i haven't noticed difference between the 2

i just bought a pack of three that have 825 lumens a piece..... i effed up and got the engergy smart ones. i feel like that will put me at a disadvantage.... but does anybody know if these will work????

those sound like 13w cfl's, or close to it
the 26w cfl's they have should be around 1700 lumens per bulb, if you can take those back for an exchange, it will be worth your while
you can use the smaller ones, but results will suffer

alright here is the thing.. u can flower with CFLS.. buttttt u will not get as much as u would with mh or hps.. man.. the cfls.. dont put enough out to grow bushy plants with tons of nugs.. u can get a decent amount an everything but instead of flowering for 8 weeks try like 11 or 12.. and ull be alot happier with ur grow.. i was. now i run 2 1000 wat hps.for flowering.. if nothing is ready for flower.. ill toss 2 1000 watt mh bulbs in and switch my ballast over to mh.. and run my flower room for veg.. but i have a 400 watt mh for veg.. and 10 4 foot flourescents for my clones and seeds.. working out great so far.. if u plan to just smoke em.. CFLS go for it . if u plan on supplying anyone else but urself.. grab some good lights.. pretty much for me its either do it right or dont do it at all.. ive had 6 grows without good lights.. and nothing compared to my hps flower..

this is the never ending cfl versus hid argument
for micro grows, cfls can be a good fit, not all of us want a 1000w hps setup - 2 pound grows?
that's way beyond my needs, and smaller grows are much safer in my non MMJ state
cfls have a niche, they're great for small grows, which is what some of us want
