Hello everyone! I need some help picking out a light setup for thr space that I will be growing in. My space in about 30"x 28" long x 25" deep. What type of lights would you use, and why? I first was using cfls, but do not want to go that route for this grow. Any help and suggestions would be great. I was looking into going to use LEDs, but know you need more clearance to use them. So if thats the case, i can buy a small grow tent if needed. Thanks everyone. Have a great day!

Buy some cheap screw in bases, make a frame.Led household bulbs with the domes cut off work very well! You can build a 150w fixtuire for $75.You can change the strength and spectrum by simply un-screwing a bulb!

With less than three feet of height it's gonna be a challenge finding something prebuilt.
LED strips maybe but you're not gonna get a great result.
Get the tent if you can. Look into some COB LEDs like Timber Grow Lights.
Investigate LST for training the plants. Or SCROG.
People do it ...
You're on the right track with LED.
Light is so important for a successful harvest.

Thank you for the reply. Im looking at a 2' x 2' x 4' high tent. A couple sites ive seen said the 300 that i posted in the picture should be a good choice for that tent. What do you think? What else would i need besides the tent and light? I know fans to move the air in n out most likely right?

300W LED is great for that size if you were using COBs.
I don't know about the blurple lights though.
They're cheap ... beginner lights ... but you'll end up replacing them with something better.
Depends on your budget.

Exhaust fan for sure. Not so much for the heat, LED doesn't send off much.
More for circulation. Get some dryer ducting at Home Depot.
Connect it to the fan inside the tent and run the duct out.
You can take it all the way to a window or vent if smell is a concern.
A small clip on fan would be good too for circulation. The exhaust fan doesn't move air around, just pulls it out.

It's a good starting point.
If you can get a better (not more watts) LED, do it.
Good light is essential.

Ok so you're doing a budget grow.
That's cool.
A good investment is some reflective tape ... it's cheap.
When your tent is set up, put the room lights on and crouch inside (if you can).
Zip up and if there are any light leaks just cover them up with the tape.
Don't worry about stitching pinholes. As long as they are small the plants will adjust.

I just commented on a post where the guy is scrogging with blurples.
His plants look good.
Go with what you are comfortable with and you can always upgrade later.

One way or another you're gonna grow weed!

Its not really the budget, its the space that i have to work with where i live. Its a back closet, so that is really the only room i have for the time being. Thank you for saying that about the tape! Thats a great idea! Lol anything is better than what i was using.
