Can anyone give me any advice if they have ever done or heard of using leds and cfls together at tje same time on one crop? If so is this ok to do or should it be avoided? Thanks

Have seen the cobs, why ate they better or what is the difference from my spiral cfl. Im using a 6500k spiral grow light cfl now.with a mars 360 I thought u want 6500k for growth. Why are u saying 3500k. Thanks for feedback man, i apreciate it. New here

I've seen people use the combination of the 2 in there grows. The old saying is the "the more light the better". Does that mars 360 (never heard of that series btw) have a switch between flowering and vergging? that would be my question?

Why COBs? Because 241w gets you/me around the same PAR/PPFD range as about a 600w HPS (~1000 PPFD.) I don't think any panel LED has that kind of efficiency.

If you combine lights make sure you have some appreciation for the inverse square law rule. Small cfls go close to the plants whilst big led panels will be placed higher up :-)

The reason i asked sbout using the two together is because i just added some cfls in with my mars hydro led and one of my smaller plants i believe white widow the leaves stsrted turning light green and kind of spiraling..very strange looking never seen this before and have been growing for over 10 years now. Also some of my plsnts leaves stsrted getting hooked at tips. Read that this coukd be s number of things but cznt really find s deffinste answer for the hooks or the spiraling.

Remember there is a distance factor with the led, especially mars, i think if i'm right it should be 24" to 30" for veg, you may wanna double ck with the main supplier. The you supplement the light around it with cfl's. I do know later mars product have a switch on the side or the top, that have flowering side and a vegitative side, earlier version don't

very nice, if i would look into updating or moving into cfls, go buy your local walmart, homedepot, lowes. Look for 6" bell lights, buy 2, take off the bells, slide by the electrical department, pickup 2 bulb spliters, then slide by bulbs department pickup one box of 4 bulbs 100watt (2hwatt) cfls, and your set....prolly cost you less than $30....this is if that was mine, just something to think over...
