Light translucent spots on leaves

Hi!

I saw a thread on here about this, spent the last 1.5hrs looking for it, and can't find it. So I apologize for the repeat question.

These are clones that are 3 weeks old. I have them in a Shultz soil mix with very minimal nutes. I haven't added any nutes to them for that reason. They are also under some fluorescent lights. Temp is at a steady 85 and ph in the soil between 6.5 and 7.

Any help is appreciated.

The last pic I posted shows that one side of the top leaf didn't sprout. Not sure why, but everything else is growing fine. If anyone has any idea let me know.

nute burn and becoming root bound

Can they become root bound only after two weeks? The nute burn I was thinking because of the soil, but I've cloned with this soil before and never had any problems. Could it be lacking a nute to turn the leaves that colour?

the new growth is definately nute burnt. over fert escpially with ferts high in nitrogen will cause abnormal growth. it looks like she was hungry for nutes -by the bottom leaves-than was fed or uptook too much and burnt herself. that spotting on top looks like build up of nutes in leaf tissue, excessive evaporation of moisture leading to a high blance of nute in leaf tissue and burning under the lights.
doubtful they could be deficient in anything
what type of light sare you using. I am gonna guess MH >100 watts.
as for the roots, usually during it's very ealry veg state, the root mass exceeds plant mass by 2 fold. take one out and transplant it and you will see how much time you have before you have to transplant the others.
smaller cups require more frequent feedings leading to more availability to the nute solution when it just isnt ready

no, check underneath your leaves for tiny dark specks, I think you've got spider mites (I hope I'm wrong 'cause they are nasty !)

Thank you for that detailed description of the problem. I completely understand what you're saying now. I'm going to go and try to find some no nute soil and plan on replanting them. I'm not using a MH yet, I want to wait until they're a bit bigger then I'm going to put them under a 400w MH. Right now they are under a fluorescent. Would planting clones in a seedling soil make a difference for them?

Thanks for the advice, but that was the first thing I looked for. Usually if something is going wrong with the girls, the first thing I do is start looking for pests. I've be fortunate enough to not have ever had spider mites(knock on wood), but my friend had them in a really bad way and that was like you said, NASTY!


Quick question for all. Would excessive watering help speed up the time release crap in soils?
