Light should I send it back

ok, since you asked for it...
Honestly sounds like you got a better deal, but definitely overkill for a 3x3
explain to me how 252 is better than 392?

3x3=9
9x50 is 450...and he has 1200....
no...he has 252....252 questionable watts, of unknown value....because you don't know the efficacy of the diodes used in this light, or the efficiency of the driver
Wall watt! That's a new one for me
he may have expressed it poorly (or not)..but it should have been obvious what he meant...how many watts does this unit actually draw at the wall...not how many could it draw, if you drove it hard enough to make it fail in short order
It's always fun when home tent growers think they know everything... And I'm wrong yet no one has definitive proof contradicting anything I've said where's your links boys?
do i really need to go find links to disprove your expertise further? right now you're a minor annoyance...don't make me humiliate you further...

Wall watt! That's a new one for me
I prefer the wording "actual watts", but they are the same thing.
And it's absolute rated wattage not what's pulling from the wall.
 Absolute nonsense.
Hmm... calculations based on actual wattage, or calculations based on absolute lies from the seller....

With any reputable seller, the wall wattage IS the rated wattage!
So everyone is supposed to buy a meter and one led and test its actual wattage consumption before they can properly calculate what their room needs?
Or buy from a reputable seller. ;)

Damn, I go to the doctor and all hell breaks loose.
I try and use PPF as the metric for how 'much' light a fixture can generate. Most HID and older tech diodes need to be run at 50watt/sq ft to achieve high enough PPFD for vigorous growth. That's why knowing actual power consumption is a useful bit of information .

Right, I’ve been back on riu for a few months and immediately caught on to the fact renfro knows his shit...

Unless he’s setting up a tent :blsmoke: sorry @Renfro had to do it all in good fun haha.
LoL I do seem to be tent challenged...

I am by no means perfect, and definitely don't know it all, but I try not to be a dick.

Lol I guess @Renfro should act right when talking with a real botanist. Stupid tent grower. Sheese... buncha noobs in this bitch
Yeah me and my tent... lol

i purchased a 900w led full spectrum with 392w of actual wall watts from E bayer and when it arrived it was a 1200w with 252 actual watts from wall and IR. It will be used in a 3*3 tent. Should I keep it or send it back? Trying to get close to optimum light and control the heat inside tent.
Have you contacted the seller about it? Appears you have 3 choices, you can just keep it, you can demand free return shipping and a full refund, or you may be able to get a % refund for receiving a lesser product. I would return it for the light you originally ordered.

Thanks guys I appreciate all the knowledge shared. I apologize for the confusion in terminology I just used the word that has been used in other post. Absolute watts in probably the correct term. The company Bloomspect on eBay has decided to have me send it back with full refund or keep the product and get a discount on another light. Is there a such thing as having to much light with a minimal amount of actual watts. Should I add another light if the discount is right?

Okay, so you're not looking to invest much. The light you currently have, will produce SOME results. You can do better no doubt. Optimal light source is going to require a larger investment. Getting CLOSER to optimal with little expense, will require some ingenuity...Are you a "do it yourselfer" at all? Understand basic electrical concepts? Not afraid to use basic tools? Own a soldering iron by chance? Believe it or not, there are guys getting some pretty respectable results, with common, off the shelf screw in LED bulbs....Take a look, as food for thought.

They sent you the wrong light, and there answer is to charge you for the one you didn't order and give you a "discount" on selling you ANOTHER light? You're the perfect customer.
