Light schedules and repotting

Currently got my auto on 16/8 and she's doing really well. again she's my first plant and I'm new to this, but I was going to bring her to 12/12 and I've been told she'll take about 3 weeks longer if so is this true ? Or take longer at all ? I've also got her in a 2 litre pot and I later found out that repotting autos is a bad idea. So would it be worth putting her in a six litre pot and risking her stunting stunt or leave her as her is and risk her being root bount ? Like I said I'm new to this so what do you guys think would be the best thing to do ?

Dude - it's an auto! You don't need 12/12 and your yield will be shit if you do. Leave them on 18/6 or even 24/7. Read upon transplanting and do it.

It would be better to transplant them to bigger pots but it depends how much you are expecting/wanting to yield from them. How far in now are you? And how many plants you got? How big are they? Getting some pictures up would help with people's input. If you were to transplant though you want to be putting them into bigger pots than 6L. I re-potted my autos about a week and a half in and they slowed for a few days but picked back up well.

As for the light if anything it would be better to up it. You only need to switch to 12/12 to start the flowering stage , but as they are autos they automatically start flowering no matter what the light. 18/6 , 20,4 or 24/0 are most common there's many arguments on which is the best. But it falls down to personal preference.

Im ready to try an auto myself
Any suggestions for the best place to get a few bb's?
I'm buying from OASeeds overseas. From Spain. Usually the cheapest prices around. They fly through customs and you don't have to buy any t-shirts or crap.Midweek Song is new and has some really cool promos and freebies plus Herbie's always has cool freebies. Check out the Dinafem White Widow Auto. I grew one DWC and it was huge. Keep the EC/PPM very low to start. 250-300PPM. Killer smoke.

I got one female she shown her first signs of sex today it was a feminised see but I still had my fingers crossed, she's 15 days old I only want the one plant to start with so I can really pay it some attention I'm not after a massive yield just some quality smoke. It's a creamatic royal queen auto. Personally she looks really healthy to me it would be great to see what you guys think of her

I'd up it to a bigger pot defiantly. I put mine into 10L pots, wish I'd gone bigger but it's all I could get locally.

When I transplanted I filled the new pots with soil, then used the current pot as a template to shape out the hole for the plant to go in. So I sorta planted the current pot into the new pot. Then I didn't have to worry about it being to small or big once I pulled the plant out. Pictures are on page one (Nov 17) of my grow journal if you want to see what I mean. You need to get it in and out quickly and try keep it all in one piece. Once in the new pot give a water in. Plenty of tutorials come up on a Google search. But if your not sure I'm sure someone wth more experience could guide you better than me.

Also, just out of interest , what light you using etc? It looks good man.

Thanks for the help, yeh that's how I repot my chillies. I cut the pot down the side with a scissors avoiding roots and just slide the pot off. Probably going to do some research on re potting with least stress as possible first. I got a 5'x2'x2' secret jarden with a 4" extractor circulation fan which kind of draws cold in air also it's hard to explain you'd have to see it to understand. 250w hps on a 16/8 cycle with 1/2 the recommended veg feed and my ph is on 6.2 temps fluctuate between 25-28 depending on how hot the house is

Sounds good. I'd also look at upping the time that the lights are on. Do some reading on Autos and light schedules. I'd put it up to at least 18/6. But if your happy with the progress then it's up to you. Good luck with the rest of the grow!
