Light questions

Hi, My plants are in their first week of flowering. I was wondering if it would be better for my buds if my lights were closer to my plants. Right now, I probably have them about 2 1/2 feet away from the top of my tallest plant. Sorry for crappy camera =)

Two and a half feet is ideal. If it's a 2500w HPS.

drop the lights untill ,you feel warm not hot when your hand is beside the top of the plant!
