Light meters

Hey folks, I am interested in what people are using to measure their light?

Are there any nice options for quantifying spectrum as well?

I hear that the PAR meters are better though because they only measure the photosynthetic spectrum?

Who knows, I use lux. I use it to find hotspots and balance canopy. When i'm checking levels I just google optimal lux.

Lux is OK for comparative measurements of HID lighting, but you really want a PAR meter, especially for LED.

Yeah, nothing impressed me for android.

I want to not only quantify light but be able to see what the spectrum distribution is. I am comparing and testing some various bulbs.

Migro on YouTube has a good meter. I can’t remember what it is but in his videos he tests par and spectrum.

i've been looking into a few of them on android too......at the present time i'm not impressed, i'll get back to you if i come across something worthy....

I'm using a LUX meter and this chart.

I think it was around £550. Couple of mates chipped in, thank fook, wouldn't wanna be paying for that on my own! Lol
USA was cheapest place selling it so we ordered from there.

I believe you want a spectrometer to measure wat the spectral output is of the various bulbs
