If you want, you can get them close to the plants, no harm .. but don't get 'em too far ! That could be an issue

It depends on your setup. Otherwise healthy plants will show heat/light stress in the form of tips lightening in color and cupping, or leaves folding up. Are you using bulbs or led? What's the ambient temperature?

Right now I'm running at about 83 degrees, i was at like 90 with Co2, as for the leaves they folding up slightly , The RH is 60% and I'm running lights 24hr.

IMO, 83 is too high for vegging but doable for flowering- ideal would be 80 or less. I would have a minimum of 18" clearance for < 200w led and 24" for > 300W led.

Your asking a question without giving the basic information needed to give you anywhere near an accurate answer.
Its a 4x8 room running 600w hps and 2 125w LED, i have ventilation , Co2, Temp 85 RH 60% Fans. not sure what els you would need….. Thank you!
