yeah dat true and then these LED put out twice even thrice (vs MH or low W HPS...) amount of photons but then they wont grow more accordingly. only very little more. maybe just 10% :p and run full heels over heads into "calmag" deficiency
because of chilling plants, frozen metabolism, frozen in time
I've luckily never had a calmag issue with leds, with either bottled nutes in hydro, or dry amendments in soil.

I've been following LED development since the little blurple UFO lights came out and these days the LED lights that do the best are using almost the same wattage as needed with HID to cover the same area. The initial cost to replace some of my lights is way out of my budget and I have enough HID lights to grow 5X as much as I do now but I already grow way more than I can use so give away lots but most made into meds of some kind like RSO.

It's costing me over 30¢/kwh now for electricity and it's going up again according to the news last night.

CalMag is vastly overrated IMO but I grow in peat-based ProMix HP so never seem to have problems even tho I only use RO water. A wee bit once in a while but not much.

Must be a bitch growing in coco with LEDs. I bought a bag of coco and plan to do a little side-by-side grow with it one of these days.

:peace:

So it looks like all the new growth is a light green the bottom half is still pretty normal it’s just the top half the only things I can think of cal mag or nitrogen deficiency I gave them a feed last night water ph is 6.35 temps are 70-76 my light is a SF 7000e and it’s at about 75% and approx 24in away they verged on a wayyy weaker light for about 1 1/2 months I think a Mara hydro ts100 maybe that too idk
For those who care the problem turned out to be root bound transferee them out and they started to bouncing back approximately the help/advice

To those who care it turn out they were root bound so switched them out and they’re all good now
