The vs4000 is too much for a 2x4 tent. You need approximately 240 watts. the vs2000 would be ideal for your tent........both size wise and watts. The vs3000 is good as well if you want to increase the wattage.

Better off running 2 of the VS1500s so you get better coverage. 300watts is a bit overkill but you can easily run them at 75% for a reduction in heat.
ATM you can get the Viparspectra P1000 for $70 and 3 of those would rock a 2x4 tent. Samsung 301H LEDs but a Meanwell driver.
Or 2 of the XS1500s....Love mine.

I've seen several videos of folks using 2 of these in a 2 x 4. They daisy chain them together so one light controls both lights.
I just bought one for my 2.5 x 2.5 tent after much research.

I just bought one this morning on Amazon to try out in my 2.5 x 2.5 tent.

The XS Pro uses a Sosin driver (i think) and they are not Samsung LEDs but its still a nice light. Less penetration than XS using LM301s but more even canopy coverage.
P1000 just jumped in price to XS1000 pricing. Both are about $70 after the discounts. Specs on both are virtually identical too.

My XS pro uses Samsung LEDs for everything except the Far Red and IR LEDs.

XS series uses the LM301Bs. XS Pro series they did not say, only that its not Samsung. P1000 Pro uses the LM301H which is basically a renamed B for "Horticulture". The other lights in the P series dont though.
Compare diode count too. The XS1500 has 324 and the XS1500 Pro has 450.

Whatever LEDs my VIPARSPECTRA 2024 XS1500 Pro uses, It's BRIGHT. And the PAR readings are better out to the edges of my tent than the Spider Farmer Evo SF1000 I was using.
My tent is 31" x 31" x 64".

I got a response from VIPARSPECTRA. They said it uses the Samsung LM281B+ LEDs.

Its rather odd though the Pro with 450 LEDs is rated at 25000 lumens and the XS is rated at 26000 with over 100 fewer LEDs. (Amazon mistake maybe?)They are both real nice lights and the Pro is way ahead in the "value for dollar". Two of either one is overkill for a 2x4 tent.
Ive got both a XS1500 and the P1000 Pro. Great lights for the money. The P1000 WAS a smoking deal when they were $60 a pop. I should have bought 3
Im watching for another big discount on the XS1500 just so i got a matched pair of lights. Mainly for dimmer functions to be the same. XS and P are only 4 steps but includes OFF on the dimmer.
Oh and they should have advertised the LM281s and i would have bought 2 from the start. Back then they were a little under $80 a pop during the better sales/coupon offers.
