Yep, for LED's that'll work. 9sq. ft, 300W=33 watts per sq foot, a bit more would be better (400W), just so you don't have to run the lights at 100% as much, but anywhere between 30-40 watts per sq. foot. is in the ballpark.

run a mars fc4800 in 3x3. this way flexible up to 50 per square if needed.

Well, I can't tell for sure, but it's just light and they are both led so you can just select out of the price and your preferences, they will kinda do about the same

Thanks for the info. I have 2 tents. I'm very happy with the Timberline 400-watt COB with a dimmable switch and think you're right in that I need more than 300 watts when needed. The other tent is running 250 watts and needs replaced. This is my 1st go with lights other than a 1000-watt HPS in a much larger grow area. 400 watts with a dimmable switch sounds good. Thanks.

Thanks for your input. Yes, they are very much alike but there are differences that can make a difference in the quantity and quality of your grow unique to your growing environment and knowledge. I think I'm now looking for a 400-watt light with a dimmable switch like I have in my other tent except it has a Timberline 400-watt 4 COB setup. The technology is still advancing very quickly so I want a light that will last for at least 5-7 years with no issues.
