Just found out that one of my distant freinds has a decent sized plant of about 18 inches thats been there for about a month and a week. Just wonderin what a good light cylcle would be to end vegative, start flowering, and then start budding. thanx....:joint:

Some ppl prefer to stop their veg (24/0 or 18/6) lights out for 48 hrs, then put lights on 12/12. But you can just change over to 12/12. It will work also. Make sure you get the right kind of bubls for flowering.

Hi,

Some people believe that 24/0 is acceptable for vegging their plants. Unfortunately, those are probably also the people who still support Bush. From experience, plants to not fare as well in 24/0 as they do in 18/6. 18/6 is my personal choice for all of vegetation period. When it comes time to flower, I would go with the conventional 12/12. You can make the switch just over night... no transition is needed.

Although, I have been reading more and more about 10/14. Apparently, a lot of photosynthetic processes take place in the absence of light. Anywho, this will be something I'm going to experiment with in the near future.

Hola folks,

Crack? Na... Though last night I was pretty god damn high from smoking a ton of premature buds when I was posting. :hump: Ya, I'm just cool like that...

Anywho, I just don't think 24/0 is very choice. Marijuana plants are photoperiodic plants, and being such, they have photosynthetic processes that only take place in the absence of light. Hence why they have developed phytochromes. Also, I tried 24/0 for awhile and it was horrible. My plants hated it...

Though I've been really curious about increasing the night cycle to 10/14. Has anyone tried this in comparison to their normal 12/12? Any feedback about this would be chill...

Thats what Im saying 10/14 isnt real...

the only modification to 12/12 you can make is to go 13/11 in the last three weeks of flower. and it isnt advised to newbies...

Well, we actually would rather it just grow vegative as long as possible now in order for it to get huge mainly because this is one of our experiment plants to test different lights we have and growing materials, just wanted to know some more light cylcles to help, thanx....:blsmoke:

So, I have heard about this 10/14 cycle... a good BUD of mine has been growing for like 11 years now, and he's been tellin' me some tips and tricks of the trade.

I trust this guy. I mean, Ive seen some AMAZING nug come from him, and he's even made high times before (well, his nugs have..) That being said, when he told me in the last week or two of flowering to switch the lights to 10/14, i figured it was solid... Though I've never heard of this method being used...

Then i got to thinkin.... You think anyone REALLY wants to give up the recipe of their secret sauce? Maybe that's why none of us have ever really heard of it... maybe its something just older elite heads know

The point is, this guys NEVER steered me wrong before, and I doubt he'd tell me something that would fuck my plants up in the end of Flowering...

When i switch over to flowering, I'll give it a shot at the end, and let you know how it turns out...

For the meantime... I say go with it...

The nug this guy's got is fuckin amazing.. I'd kill to be able to grow like that

Did I mention he's got some good nug? haha

Cheers,

The link works fine for me, but it says its a shockwave youtube video...

Its soma from THC labs, explaining how it is possible to up the light in the last three weeks to 14 hours on/10off to increase yeild.

So it would be a good idea to keep the thing growing vegetive for a while to get it big then try your insane light cycle? (I mean insane as fucking awsome.....:hump:)

I dont do it personally but what I meant to clarify with that post was the only acceptable change to the lighting schedule one can make in flowering is in the last three weeks you can bump the light up to 14 hours, I dont reccomend this to someone who:

a.) Doesnt have a perfect enviroment balanced out
b.) Doesnt have at least 4-5 grows under thier belt...

Also I High Density Sog my plants, so I dont really get where you get the Super Veg thing, but whatever floats your boat as far as your growing method you choose.

Cheers!

Your outside its a whole different animal, the sun begins loosing light at a certain point in the day.

Your fine on light schedules being outside, just go with nature....
