Changing to 10 hours on 14 off light cycle .
How many day,s to make them start thinking Autumn is coming or is once enough.:leaf:

I thought once you trick it to think the days are shorter you could then go back to full sun.Hence getting better buds with full day,s sun. Just not sure how many day,s it would take to start the change to flower.I must not have explained myself properly,hope you understand now.Sorry.:leaf:

You have to keep the flowering light schedule for the duration of the plants remaining life. Otherwise they slowly and stressfully revert to vegetative growth. Google or RIU search "Revegging" and do some reading on that.

If you have adequate lighting you wouldn't need or want to go back to daytime hours to get better buds. They can only handle so high of a DLI regardless if its over the course of 12 hours or 20 hours.

This is a verandah grow and once it starts turning,giving it full sun, it will not go back to veg.The question is how many short day,s to get it to turn.?
Same as indoors to keep it in flower mode, give it 12 plus hours in light cycle.:leaf:

Having longer light cycle will only improve the buds.12 hours minimum.:leaf:

If your outdoor conditions are short enough to allow the plant to flower, then you're fine. Like above said, what are the daylight hours on your veranda

If it's already 12/12 where you're gonna end up keeping it, then you should be fine. I'm not sure I understand what you mean by "short days" in this case. Should flip and start stretching within a week
