Light cycle, my plants seem to grow more during the dark cycle than light...

I've had my babies on 16/8 for a week, and every morning when I wake up they've grown more than they did the entire day before and are perky. I assume my light's too close? I have cool air coming in to keep the temp below 90, the closest plants (10" from cooltube) are about 85 degrees while the lower ones are 72-75 degrees. Humidity with the light on is around 40%-45%, at night it shoots up and I have the dehumidifier set to 50%.

Also check out the roots on this little tiny thing marked by the red arrows: rootLong.jpg Some of the seedlings popped at different times and this is one of the smallest ones.

Was considering moving to 18/6 but dunno, what should I do? I want to grow them long enough to cut clones from then 12/12....

No they don't, notice how the leaves go droopy at night? because they DONT SEARCH for light, if they would, all our plants would be stretchy mofockas.

I pulled the plug on a grow and they grew quite a bit before dying after a couple weeks.

I was talking about the fresh leaf growth being much bigger than it was when the lights went out the night before, so I was wondering if I'm stressing them, or they just store this energy to keep going without the light for a bit.
