Light control

I have a small stealth grow box a PC but light is leaking out everywhere and I think a glowing PC will look a little suspicious what can I put to block the light? Maybe real duct tape? (the reflective kind)
Or cardboard is the only thing I can think of. I do not have a real high budget so the most cost effective would be best

Thoughts?

I think the shiny metal-like duct tape will work. If you get the regular duct tape, you'll probably need several layers to make it truly light-tight.

Let us know how it works out and how you fix it, please.
:joint:

But not sure what you're going to do about the light leakage from the exhaust/intake fans though.

Haha I just spent 5 mins trying to find this magical "angel paper" that will let air but wont let light through. Angle ...duh. going to the HD today to get a timer and some light blockage, maybe an odor thing too. When sealed I'll post a pic or two

Here are some pictures of the out and inside, I used some of that expanding foam stuff that I will cut back later( it expanded too much, don't buy the triple expansion haha) I also bought chromed duct tape its reflective but not thick like the normal reflective one. the little but of light seen in the front picture is now taken care of. I popped off the front panel and stuffed it with some dryer sheets, also helps with the smell I hope . My only problem is the back fan now. Its too close to the lights and if I try and cover it I think it will burn whatever I use. But thats facing the wall anyways. Grow journal soon, my bagseeds are germinating

you did a good job blocking most all the light. i figured that back fan was going to give you trouble - you need two 90 degree bends to make it light tight i think.

looking forward to the journal! post the link to it here so i don't miss it please.

are you putting a little 2-plant bubbler in there?

there is stuff i use is called alumium foil tape. it does not fall off due to heat and humitity like ducktape and keeps the light in.. but could cause little problems cause it could leave you with heat spots...but ya never no.

This is the tape I used:

Duck Tape Products | Product Catalog

Similar to what you're talking about I think, ryan

No I am Just using soil, 2 pots probably I doubt more than 2 plants would work, not aiming for a big yield but I'm thinking the power strip was unnecessary but thats when I was going to run my fans inside too but I dont think it will affect that much
