Light and plant numbers

Am I right in my line of thinking that plants absorb light. So less plants means more light for each plant? I know it can be worded more scientific. Also 6 plants under a 600w doesn't mean they all get the same light due to positioning and what not. Just would 6 plants under a 600w grow faster than say 10 plants under a 600w?

Also curious as to would you clearly notice the faster rate of growth vegging under a 600w vs a 400w. Been vegging under two 400w as dimmed them down. As I plan on going into flower soon I thought I would switch the lights upto 600w in the hope of getting some faster extra growth.

Not to be a dick, but I'd think after being on this site for almost 8 years you might have learned something.

And yes plants absorb light. That's part of photosynthesis, lol.

Its about how many photons hit the plant, if most of it is hitting the floor because you have one small plant in a big space then its not really going to grow much faster.

The stronger the light source the more photons been blasted down on your plants and the faster it will grow.

If you have one plant not filling the space you can lower your light to narrow the coverage which will mean more of the photons will land on that plant and be used so will grow faster (in veg)

In know photosynthesis and plants need to absorb light. I was just wondering if there is less plants does it mean they can take up more of the light source as the output can o my but a certain amount. Like the example I gave. 6 plants vs 4 plants under a 600w would the 4 grow quicker.

If you put 4 clones in a tent with a 600 and 6 clones in another tent with a 600 they would all grow exactly the same. The tent with 6 plants would be able to be flipped earlier because they would fill up the tent quicker compared to the other tent.

Not quicker. But with less plants more spaced out, the light will penetrate all the plants more evenly.

Plants pull light like gravity. So more plants will pull more of your light. Be sure you have your lights good and secure because with six plants the gravitational pull will be around 6 tons.
6 I was thinking 8. Redo your math bro
