Sup RUI,

Well the title says it all. Since i have been growing the last 2 year, i have consistanly gotten very, very light and airy buds.... I recently discoved that i had too many plant under one light, 10-12 under a 600 hps (sad i know all these years). so i finally adjusted on my last harvest and only had 2 plant . So i thought i would have these killer plants, and everything started great. But later i ended up pulling one early cause it was just waisting space. The other plant looked like it was going to be very dense. But no, i just havested it and its the same crap. I got all these hairs and no bud. It dryed to almost nothing (1/4 oz maybe...) Taste is ok and the high is very light and heady and the triches were amber and i waited 9 weeks to pull it, they both also streched and were like 5-6 ft when i pulled them.... I just dont understand what i am doing wrong. This havest i just pulled had no problems with burn.... i have an ongoing stuggle with nats and white flies, but other than that no other problems...

I use the following nutes....

Grow Big
Big Bloom
Tiger Bloom
Open Seseme
Cha Ching
Beastie Bloom
Molassas
Neem Oil (to treat pest)

600w HPS

I start slow and increase the dose

I keep the light 1-1/2 feet away

24-0 in veg for 4-6 weeks

12-12 in flower for 8-10 weeks

Temp between 78-86 (Desert Living)

20-30 humidity (Could this be it? and how can i correct this?)

2 Oscilating Fans

Water is usually R/O or tap.

These are and have been my elements.... and they arent working.... please help...

Currently i am doing a hydro grow. I made my own misting system cloned 6 plant all rooted. Put directly into rockwools. 2 plants are growing great, 1 plant is above average, 1 plant top burned out (kinda toped itself) but is growing average, and 2 plants are very small, theyre roots havent came out of the basket but the are growing finally with new leave and getting taller (but there are like 3 inches tall compared to the other plant that range from 1 1/2- 2 1/2 feet (should i kill them? Cause they are too short and 7 plant and 600 hps?)I also have the mother plant flowering (a total of 7 plants....)

PH 5.1-5.4
ppm 1100-1250
R.O water
3rd week
Peroxide in the water

Please help, i want to become a better grower and after 2 years, i am not doing so good. And i am spending alot of money... I am thinking it may be time to quit if the hydro grow dosent come out better PLEASE PLEASE HELP!!!

I dont know what i am doing wrong, i watch the show WEEDS and everything... But seriously...

PLEASE HELP

Well maybe its the strains. But prolley the hydro I would just do soil. Here's example of two plants done under 1000 watts for about 3 months got just QP=4oz. per plant.
pics are of 1 plant and the DENSE bud

Peace and 1love,

How far are the lights from the plants, got to be too high it is the only explanation.this is a hard one because everthing seems bang on but the answer lies with the light's height and the exaust fan.i say the exaust fan because if you can't have the lights low 6/12 ince of the top of the plants then you need to get a differant exaust fan one that will pull heat out of the room.what strain are you growing, check for light leakige.

First of all I've never had the number of plants cause problems in my growroom, if they are shading eachother than yes it's a problem, if not than it's not. When you decide lighting you don't go with light/plant generally, you go with light/size of growroom. One thing that caught my attention was having a 5-6 foot plant(s) under a 600w HPS, by the bottom of that plant your light levels would be dismall. I think training is your absolute best bet, try a SOG grow so that your canopy is all even. That way you can minimize shading, and get the most out of your light. If you're plants are already growing start tying them down to even them out, and then all your plants will be getting the full potential of the light

well look for strains that are known for being extra dense. Also maybe some LST to keep them shorter, bushier instead of tall and spindley?

The light stays between 1-1 1/2 feet away... i know 86 is kinda high for temp, i was also thinking my humtity, that is the only thing that is really out of wack, its between 20-30 and i think i read it need to be at like 70, i am buying a humitifier today, as fas as light i have the 600 hps in a closet that is like 8 ft high and about 5 ft wide, i have a nice inline exhust fan on my light... this time i got fem sensi star, grew 1 seed for 5-6 weeks 24-0 and cloned 6 plants. This is a more expensive strain, than i usually choose. Should the hydro set up help!?! Also i purchased some mylar and wil do whole room...

I can't even decide where to start on what your problem. It could be your aero system with organic nutes with no medium for microbes to grow in and process those large nutrient molecules and break them down into stuff your plant can use. So my number one suggestion is to switch to chemical ferts and also to add some sort of flower hardener to your arsenal as was previously suggested in Gravity by Humbolt or Gravity by AN. Personally I use gravity and have never seen airy buds. You also need to bring your light closer but with your current temps, which may also be your problem, that is thoroughly impossible. Get an A/C and get your temperatures down. Your low humidity is absolutely fine. You may have a little decreased transpiration but I've flowered in such low humidity during winter and it went fine and it also helps to ensure the prevention of bud rot. In the size of area you have you might want to think about another light or maybe some cfls for side lighting to get full coverage.
Good luck man. :peace:

nice ab by the way

tee hee thanks, we just got her a mate he is beautiful, champion breed tiger striped.... they chewed up my ups cable when i get a new one i got pics....

Thank for the input everyone... i will put my wall ac in there, try those humbolt nuts, mylar the room and add the humidifier and look into another light...

Acctually now that i see this i can say that ive done the same thing this guy did but i grew with soil, but as far as the light time ive done the exact same thing he did and i have airy buds BUT i think maybe not because i have a plant that has tight buds very tight
