And mix your spectrum. For veg use a 3:1 ratio of 6500K "daylight" to 2700K "soft/warm", for flower it's the other way around, but for flower I'd recommend a HPS.

more light man defo lol you can upgrae your current one for 20 bucks go wo walmart or kmart where ever you live and get the 55 watters for 10 bucks their soft white as well

With ventilation you can get it up to 300watts.
Chase: if it ain't broke don't fix it. What do your babies look like? Like a good dad, check your babies a couple of times a day. You might benefit from reading SeeMoreBuds book, "MARIJUANA BUDS FOR LESS," since it sounds like you're trying to replicate what he does. If your CFL's are in hoods you can get a little more focus on your light and that will do for a few more weeks.
If they're all the same strain you might consider hanging a rack of t-5's 2' long and four tubes wide overhead. In an enclosed area they operate cooler than most lighting options. You'll still need ventilation but an oscillating fan usually does the job in a comfortable environment. They're a lot more efficient than most of the CFL set ups I've seen.
I'm more concerned with the temperature and color of your light than the lumens. A friend of mine said something rather extreme once. He said, "You could probably grow our favorite herb under candle light." I know he was joking but he's the one who talked me into fluorescent lights. If you're using something rated over 5000K from seed sprouting through vegging you should be okay until you want to force flowering. Then you'll want to transition to 2,700 K's. I hope that helps.
