Lighing helpl plz

Hey guys I know this has been asked and answered many times but Im having some problems finding the info, even looked in the FAQ,

My girls are ready to go under the HP, can I give them 24/7 light? and when do i change over? 18on/6off, 12/12, light timing? just curious if someone could fill me in with the lighting hours and stuff thanks again

Oh one other things, how close how far should they be from the light. any site or something that shows a diagram

When you start out your plants you should put them under flourescents: 24/7

When they enter the vegatative stage you should put them under your HPS for: 18 hours light and 6 hours complete darkness.

Putting them under 24 hours of light will grow faster than the 18/6 cycle.

When you want to induce flowering, you put them under 12 hours of light and 12 hours of darkness.
