Well they've been great short squat plants so far, but damn they're moving now. I feel on my next one that I should flip just a little sooner... but I guess we'll see what happens now :) I'm not sure what to expect with training and stretching etc, so I'll just keep going as I have been, posting pictures and taking advice on what I should be looking for and doing :)

...

I also took a few cuttings from the best two plants. They weren't chosen to be good clones, I really just wanted to experiment. I had trouble getting the temperate beneath the dome below 27C and subsequently all the cuttings wilted over. I've kept at it and in the last 12 hours they've started standing up and reaching for the light - all of them. :) I'm going to take a few more before I flip the girls as I want to try putting cuttings in rockwool, too, and see if I have the same success - well, these may still die, they're not a success yet but since they're reaching for the light right now I figure they're doing OK.
An update on the quoted... One week on and all cuttings still appear to be alive. One of the the cuttings has even shot a root straight down out of the tray! :) Considering my goal here was to keep one alive, even better if two stay with me and I learn how to clone - the experiment is going very well ;)

Nothing to update, really. We're just short of a week in 12/12 and they're growing well, I think, and I'm still training them to fill out the screen. I'll post a top down photo after the weekend, as usual, when I change the res. :)

Reservoir change and photo day. :) This is the start of week two of 12/12. I'm still training the branches... I can train them under the screen at the start of the day cycle and by half way through the day I have to go and poke a few more back under, already! I guess this is the stretch starting. I think she's still going okay, a little light colored in the new growth or do you suppose that's normal?

Hey, I also wanted to show you the result of my cloning experiment. That was the best root growth out of all of them and I didn't expect it to be honest! Anyway, I got some organic soil and put them them in. They appear okay so I'll just leave them going, I guess, ha. I only require one of them to live, preferably two, to keep the genetics of my best Lemon Haze plant alive... so currently having eight is pretty cool. I'm going to use some of them as further experiments with soil growing and lights - I've never grown in soil either so this gives me the chance to sacrifice a few clones for the good of science. ;)

Looking great brother! .... that screen is bushy as heck ... I love it .... the light green color of the new growth is normal and will be more noticeable with accelerated growth and also the production of the lighter colored pistils just make aure you tuck or clip the bigger fan leaves (thatre above the screen) blocking any new shoot or a bud site
Wow look at those roots .... how long ago did you clone these? Well done dude

Thanks mate, yeah I'm over the moon with how it's going! Thanks for the info, I thought it was possibly something like that but I couldn't remember why/where I got that info from though.

Yeah, the roots look great right? Rooted for one week, that's one week exactly in that picture taken on the day I moved them to pots. About three of the clones had a similar level of roots to that, just maybe 10% less, then the next few had a couple of roots poking through all around the plug - still very healthy looking - and the last couple just had one poking out through the middle where a tap root would go. Since I don't 'need' them all I just marked them so I know which ones are which and we'll just see what happens as opposed to bothering trying to root them longer - I'm looking to keep the strongest, after all :) I'm sure they'll love the dirt.

Damn! I just snapped off the end of a nice branch as I tried to move it under the screen! Clean off, too. :( I should have smoked AFTER tending to the plants.

Hah, well... she'll live :)

@ DrCanna

I've just finished tucking everything under the screen for the second time today, moved/adjusted a few branches around to give them more room for growth, broke one, stressed a whole lot of others and pruned a whole bunch of leaves off to let some light through... it's not a problem to keep pruning at this stage, is it?

I probably wont need to prune again, anyway.

I'm hoping over the next week it should fill out again and be ready to swap to my HPS, as you did, at week two. I think I may need to give it a day off tomorrow, though, from all the training I feel like it looks a little stressed.. some of the new growth looks a bit ratty from me moving it around trying to get everything under the screen and let light through, not realizing I've moved another branch accidentally and now the new growth is getting crushed by the string, so I go fix that... then notice something elsewhere... then somewhere else. 45 minutes later I'm finished! Baked gardening...

It's definitely Zen time in there, but I'm not sure when I'm going too far, or not enough, with the training an manipulation... I guess I'll find out in a day or two :)

I feel some relief to have some clones going, I feel now if I somehow kill my plants I have back-ups ready to go ha ha.

Lol youre NOT going to kill your plants .... id say no more pruning. When I did that past the second week I got more stretching past the 3rd weeks .... didnt know if it was the pheno or me pruning late .... anyhow keep the stress to a minimum now and hopefully theyll stop their stretch at end of week 2 of flip or shortly after

Cool, thanks Dr. I don't think I need to prune again, I took what felt like a lot of leaves away from the plants but it all had a purpose, shoots coming off branches just below the canopy all over the place, new growth caught up in layers of leaves bunched together. I got carried away again ha ha but, yeah, I'm sure it's fine...

Today maybe just some adjustment, make sure nothings caught up on the string, I think, let it recover.
Though - For all my worry - it's getting good light and well fed so I'm sure it'll just explode with growth in response... that's why we grow in small controlled environments, right?

I need to check out the soil growing forum/threads for a while anyway, figure out what to do with the clones :D

Soon youll be done training and youll be sitting down in front of the screen huffing and puffing and watching those buds fatten up and and sparkle (damn LH sparkles like crazy with the trichomes production) and wipe the drool off the side of your mouth lmao

Oh, man, I can't wait! I'm just going to stare at it all day, smoke next to it, eat my meals next to it. ha!

Got that right bro ... and ya definitely got this grow dude .... your screen looks beautiful and the plants are green and vibrant

Thanks bro, I appreciate that. And, all the help.

Here's a photo just as the ladies are waking up for the day cycle, so maybe 5 minutes of light and the first feeding has started... They might look bit bare in parts, compared to before, but they've also nearly reached all sides of the tent. There's also a pretty good amount of new growth around the middle of the screen, where I was pretty heavy with the pruning of leaves... I think it'll be ok! :)

The other two photos just show beneath the screen and the new growth potential just below it - those areas getting direct light now.

I just wanted to show how they bounced back after being stripped back a bit, above :)

Not much change but definitely fuller, the areas I exposed have responded. I think I'll leave everything to just do what it's thing now... I think I'm seeing little pistols signs of flowering, or is it too soon am I imagining it?
