I mean shit we taxed a good chunk of our population into homelessness maybe more taxes are the answer.
domestic violence is the leading cause of homelessness, not taxes

so people who beat and rape women, like donald trump who beat and raped his ex-wife, is a good place to start if you are actually worried about the homeless, which you are not

Having a well educated work force, schools, culture, logistics hub, quality of life and good infrastructure is why companies prefer to locate in cities. I have no idea what @Terps is talking about.

She's probably just jealous that bumfuck nowhere is unattractive to good companies.

Citation please.

The last time America had levels of homelessness like today, it was the Great Depression- another era of low taxes on the rich and corporations. Coincidence? Hardly.

When corporations and individuals paid high taxes, America was the envy of the world; high pay, low poverty, historically low homelessness.

Next you're going to tell us that climate change is a hoax, right?

What's amazing is just how badly the views you hold are fucking YOU over. That's a good definition of stupidity.

Government regulation is a primary reason for homelessness.

Coincidentally, blind squirrel, government regulation IS domestic violence.

Even when you are right, you're wrong.

No it’s domestic violence
Well, like I said it's regulation (laws) which causes homelessness. That kind of regulation IS domestic violence.

If people were allowed to homestead "government land" or unjustly acquired unoccupied raw land, you'd see a reduction in homelessness and likely an increase in peaceful human relations.

Domestic violence (the kind you mean) is a factor, but it also could be a symptom / result of government regulation.

Maybe later I'll explain why. I have to go plant potatoes now.

So if people were "allowed" to make a home somewhere, would they be homeless then?

No, they wouldn't. Then the question becomes, "gee what is keeping them from making a home" ? Threats of domestic violence (the kind I mean) from government.

You're inadvertently right (again) domestic violence (the kind you mean) is small scale compared to the domestic violence of taxation. Neither are very nice though.

That's because our political establishment disenfranchised them first. After all, they don't vote and they have no money so why should our country give a shit about them? /s

That kind of thinking is the very definition of neoliberalism; a person is worth only what they can earn.

That's why I'm not a neoliberal, unlike the clown posse here. They're hypocrites, too; they say they aren't neoliberal but then they turn around and vote for neoliberal candidates every chance they get. Their excuse? 'It's not as bad as the other guy!'

Uh, well we say we are liberal because we most certainly aren't neoliberal.

I'll just leave this here. I don't think you can understand it but I'll just post it in case you hit your head and a brain cell wakes up.

Neoliberalism or neo-liberalism[1] refers primarily to the 20th-century resurgence of 19th-century ideas associated with laissez-faireeconomic liberalism.[2]:7 Those ideas include economic liberalization policies such as privatization, austerity, deregulation, free trade[3] and reductions in government spending in order to increase the role of the private sector in the economy and society.[11]

You're the hypocrite who keeps voting for them.
