fans are so important in any grow its not even funny i studied where my strain came from and beleive it or not kush mountains is extremely hot as well as extremely cold , with wind gusts crzy like so i imatate as close as i can to the climate they originated from lol
look at my temp and humidity :)) plants fckin love its trich production is crazy as well look at stems :)) i got a monster fan goin in there hahaha litterally blowing them over at times fck it there a weed they'll grow get buds the size of 2 litre bottles :lol:

* I am running a "Full-Spectrum" grow :)

I have topped this girl over 25 times and have trimmed her under-caradge right back.. I am using a Liquid Light formula on her leaves etc.. as this speeds up Photosynthisis... the only things shes not getting at this point.. is Co2 but I am working on that with electric dampers etc :)

I thought I'd add my pics as I am pretty certain I am going to SCROG every-time from now on :) :) :)

I know it's not really necesary to repost your whole write up but i wanted to have 2 pages of this grow, Stelthy, you have one of the cleanest grows i have ever seen, private or industrial. If I ever was to need pictures for the "definition" of a clean grow space, these would be the pics i would chose. I'm so impressed by your organization that I feel as if I had seen somthing truly unique.

I like to think i have a skill when it comes to "picking apart" small grow ops, as i have had the pleasure to do a few times before for friends starting to grow that needed a little help. I also like to think that I am very critical, picking out every small detail and what outcomes it may have during a long term grow, in my opinion the most important thing you can do when realizing a grow space is look into the future, what will be a problem down the road, you almost have to think as if the plants were growing in front of you.
While looking at your setup I tried desperately to find flaws, and expected multiples (not based on you of course, just on experience) I found only one thing that got me and I'm sure with how thorough you are there's a reason for it.
When i grow, i put my thermometer and humidity gauges at the top of my canopy and move them up as the flowers stretch. This is to get the most accurate reading of what the plants are experiencing, your temp/hum are above your light, I am assuming this is in preparation for later flowering? would love to know if that's correct.

As an "aside" those bottom branches look ripe for clones, if i was in your position i would get one of those in a aero-cloner with a bit of rooting agent and as soon as it got roots put it in the other dwc you have to fill that gap, even if you just put it in there and flower without vegging it will stretch quick and fill the space, then you wont have an uneven canopy from trying to train the left side over and the right side only having space to go up.

Just my opinion, I just try to throw stuff out there, after seeing a setup like that I'm confident you have it under control.

alright, might have been answered before but on my second run this season and i always use super-cropping and LST to control my canopy during veg but when i switch it to the flower cab this time i wanna take my 9 week old veggies and SCROG them during the first 20 days of flowering. Here's the question...can i take a 4x4 tent and scrog vertically up the walls and horizontally across the main canopy with seven 9 week old indica veggies? i use a 1000w light, and plenty of ventilation, And will the plants that are scrogged vertically up the walls yield as well as the main canopy screen?

haze/sativa strains like mango haze, g13/haze work great for SCOG and can produce huge yields per plant..as these plants like to get huge and produce so many branches and bud sites with thin branches that bend nice and easy you can bend a branch from one side of the plant to the other you can line up all the branches down the screen

when you bend them the side shoots keep growing, each branch looks like a plant in itself because of all the long side shooting all these sideshoots become colas too and part of the canopy .. you can cover a huge screen area with 1 plant

keeping the colas organised when there is so many of them fighting for space and light
the idea of scog is very simple but in practice its very useful imo getting every branch/shoot into direct light is just common sense, as branches lower that would produce medium bud can now produce full colas
a screen helps do this perfectly

all the rest of the branches and leaves under the canopy can be striped out to focus all the growth where the light is and allow airflow freely under them :joint:

Ah.. You almost got me .. except I have Humid and temp gauges in 5 locations throughout my cab :) I have 2 temp gauges mounted in the wall behind the DWC pots and are used for res. Temps, and 3 sets of temp/humid gauges equally spaced between Grow Shelf and top of room :) I also use an in/out temp gauge so I can see the core temp without having to open my cab, and thus doing so retain her lush smell :) from leaking out :) - STELTHY :leaf:

Hey Pro!! it seems like your the guy to ask about ScrOG huh? well I just finished my first indoor closet "standard" grow in a 2X4 tent with a 400w HPS. I run a DWC and love it. I only got 237 g under the 400w about .6 per watt and was looking now to scrog the same tent to utilize my space better. My issue has been trying to figure out how I would do nute changes, check my ph, etc. with everything attached to the screen. I need to lift the lid to get in there. any ideas? and worst case what if something catastrophic happened and i need to pull my res out of the room to completely change to new basin (ie. root rot or something, foaming res.) how would I do it?

Add a second container that is only used to access the water.

That's a very interesting proposal, a 4x4 with a 1000w is gonna get hot but if you can control the temp this may be do-able.

Here's how I would set this up:

3 along the bottom filling the horizontal screen and placed as low as possible (pots/buckets on the ground) then 2 per side, raised about a foot or 2 off the ground, cheap plastic stackable shelves are great for this (they are usually 3x1ft). This will give you the hight difference you need to allow all your plants to continue to grow at the same rate. If using a downward facing hood this method will need to be shorter (a 2.5 ft difference between the lowest horizontal point and highest vert) so that light can penetrate the sides but still reach the bottom. If using a cool tube the sky is the limit, as long as you can keep all of your canopy a safe distance from the light.

I knew i was missing something, i was like "this guy has his stuff together, there's no way he would overlook this" and I was right. Again, that setup is beautiful, anyone looking to do a small cab setup should copy your method immediately.

Ak.fortyseven has it right, but, if this is not possible based on space there is another way. If you are using a bucket dwc system you can build a screen that attaches to the top of the bucket, i suggest using a lighter material like PVC (i know i have bagged on pvc before but for this application its the most ideal material) make a square smaller than the top of your bucket and secure it with those flat-bendable metal fittings they use to secure conduit to the walls, then build another square the size of your canopy (2x4 or slightly smaller) then attach those with 4 support pieces about a foot or so above your bucket top. What you will end up with is an upside down pyramid with the "tip" cut off where it attaches to the bucket top. If you want to take it a step further, tie lines from the corners of the screen to the grow area ceiling, this will allow you to remove the bucket while your plant/canopy and root system stay suspended in air. That would be my solution to this problem, if my description isn't good enough just hit me up and i will make a diagram, I'm on my way to work or i would make one now.

Getting closer everyday. I like that idea of putting the frame on pulleys. I designed this one so i can just remove one side and put it on the bucket in the veg room. Then when i move it, I just install the frame and zip tie the back side of the netting.
Quick question for the guru's....
Is a light mover overkill for 63" of canopy. I'd perfer to run a larger relector on a rail so i can still grow out the excess clones that would normally just be given away and keep the heat down.. I have a bit of floor space to work with. :wall:

Looks like it, I about have mine done, all but the dwc sytem is complete, i have a new place but have a 5 year lease, so i stealthed in a grow into the laundry area, used the existing dryer exhaust as my air intake, diverted the dryer to the attic along with my grow exhaust, didnt want to put any new holes on the outside of the house. hehe

Lookin really nice, a rail could be useful in this situation if you only plan on using one light. a 1k roaming back and forth would cover your bases but I think if you really wanted to blast that area with light you would do 2x600s, then you wouldn't need the mover and the crossover would give that extra "kick" to the spots that have both light sources on it. The downside to rails is the coverage, they can get the whole canopy exposed over the course of a few hours but they leave dim spots for longer periods of time, forcing the plants to stretch more than they normally would. Thats my take on rails at least, if you can make it work for your setup, awsome!
