Lets Talk Lights

Hello everyone! Great site...looking forward to meeting new friends! Ok so here we go. New to indoor...new to cannabis cultivation somewhat. Always researched and followed...never dabbled. Times are changing and so am I. Doing my own research. I noticed a huge difference in growth during veg with 8 4 ft t5 pure par veg bulbs by agromax. Prior to that was running a 400w hortilux eye blue with a lumatek ballast. Xtrasun air cooled reflector. Not necessarily the ssme strain but way better growth. The ones under the t5 were also clones given to me...the mh seeds from same growers bag. I know my mh bulb was a few months used so I have replaced that...and ordered a 600w and lumatek 600 with radiant reflector. Hoping the 600w compares to the 8 t5 bulbs...they put out to much heat in my opinion. I may run the 400w on clones in the future...600 seems harsh for that. T5s were for clones but not a fan of the heat. Any input from some experienced gardeners? My techniques as far as plant care are top notch. Been a commercial veggie farmer and bonsai enthusiast for years.

Nah I'm just sitting anxious on the tip of the couch trying not to be waiting on Monday morning so I hopefully can collect my new Specktrum King led light....

I have not factored in led. Was thinking of some to boost uv at end of flower for more resin. Always been a fan of 600w hps...

Bump. Whats everyone out walking the woods on this holiday weekend?

I like my t5 for veg n clones.. Led is better n I'll make the full switch one day, if you go led.. Don't cheap out go Chinese garbage..better off with your T5 and HID's ... Make sure you go cree and good drivers ..more efficient than what ya running now ..

Ok if you haven't got the news try searching on Specktrum King Led's they have made a people are showing grows (private not sponsored) on you tube and manny of the big guys on you tube as well .....thiese lights gonna change growing 450w beating Gavita fully cranked up to 1150w and they also have some compare grows with some of the big boys in led atm. Like Kind Led and others getting wiped...

Yea, il give you that cree's cxb 3590 cob's with a meawell driver are the best in diy... Have a look at S.king led they are officiale cree partners and have got special Led's developed tested and shit and are using mean well drivers ofc plus are water tight and no moving parts all passive cooling even on the 450watts that beats a 1000hps.... And they just come out with a 600w ....

I'm actually going to roll the dice with citizen cobs, if I could afford the cree 3590 I would but it just ain't feasible with the wattage I run and to really get the full advantage of the 3590 you have to drive em low..so I'd basically need to have twice as many and drive em half as hard.

If it wasn't for the initial cost I would go led. Probably do led with hydro down the line as I once read that those two combined increase yields. Im possibly going to check out the new hortilux t5 line up for curiosity before I rule out t5 on clones. Still curious as to input like 400 vs 600 mh for clones...hortilux eye blue. Or t5. I love the growth on the pure par veg by agromax just not the heat. I will look at the spectrum king led for future buys..

I can give you a report on it in a week or so, cause i should get one one of the next couple of days together, with the "closet case" 100w... (Full spec grow light.)
But if your looking fora god veg light take a look at You Tube theres at least one guy giving a good review, to there 100w "The mothers little helper" which are a veg light as well.....
Also all there lights are made with no moving parts so less to brake down and less noise
+ they give 5years guarantee and test show that it will only loose 10% power from wear over a 50.000 hours full on run (unviling lab tests)....

I know it maybe sounds like I'm a sells person from S.K.Led's ....lol....but I'm really stoked after seeing and reading all the good reviews and they make live spectrum tests, par readings, lumens and so one side by side with all the other big brands in the business leaving them behind on all tests, + a full grow test....Take a Lo_Ok at YouTube, also a lot of private peeps giving them thumbs up.... And in between some of the most respected.... Grow guys on the net like Remo and Dr. J ....
I dunno 100% yet but I fully believe in this tech that S.K.Led's got going, but soon i should have my own hands on exp...

So i thought, that it cant be true that we can put men on the Moon but cant make a decent copy of the sunlight spectrum....so I started looking around, and iMo. Atm are there only Cree that makes some good led's like the cxb 3070 and 3590 last being the newest, and if you live in USA u can get some diy kits or finished lights like bcblondes.com those lights seem to be cheaper than what you can do with diy.... But they have cooling fans, = more noise + more maintainance ..... A side from that those BcBlondes.com lights would proberbly be my second choice next to a diy kit....
That's all folks, maybe a little two much but I seldom recommend stuff but this I feel safe on....

Heres a Reading of the light, cause im not getting the "MLH" im getting the "Closet case"
So i can give you a heads up on that and the litle propergater from them....but take a look at this short light Reading of the "MLH"
Or this private person...
Just look at this last guys vid. Then you will understand why im so stoked over the lights thoese guys make....the only reason why i didnt buy a SPK 450+ Are that its more than a litle costly to get anything in the country,
From USA ... And i aint got alot of cash atm anyways....
But if your thinking of it there's a Memorial Day sale arm... So instead of 300 you get it for 200

Spend a little time in the led section here and you will learn that cobs are the way to go and will beat sk lights cheaper and its diy so later on in 5 or 6 years when a cob goes out you can replace it yourself and not have to spend the money on buying a new light each time
