Let's Talk Hydroton / Grow Stones / Expanded Clay

To answer your question my current table is 2'x2'x6"h. I'm using a 600 for a pump with a ten gallon res. I am using 3/8" tubing on the pump and 5/8" tubing on the overflow. Plain hydroton for the medium straight in the table and no pots. The first F&D tables I set up in '93 were 4'x4'x6" using 1200's for pumps. I find this little two foot table fills my personal needs.

Right on, I'd like to try filling the tray with the pebbles some time, that definitely helps the roots out compared to using pots. All my plants in net pots have funky roots that grow out of the pots and the light hits them and they pretty much die. Not to mention the algae.
