Lets see whats growing in our small community on RIU lol...

mine still has 6 weeks to go but looking like ill hit my 5oz mark haha. This is my first giant scrog. 2- 5x16ft sections. Only 8 lights but my 6 ton ac should handle more.

pineapple express.

Week 2 flower and other pic is start or flower.

lollipoped them today... lets just say it was a LONG and frustrating, back acheing day.

Think of how your PLANTS feel!! lol Shoot, I'll take a backache over amputation any day! I'm the old school guy who still thinks defoliating for yield is the same thing as bombing for peace or fucking for abstinence, lol

Screens look great, you flipped them at the perfect time to fill them nicely. Grow 'Em Up!

The g13 PE grows pretty easily, can take a lot of food. Grows nothing like the original PE from Brothers Grimm in the 90's, totally different genetics.

Yea, when growing upward i agree completely. I dont deefoliate with buds on the plants or during veg. Only lollipoped now cause under the screen is useless an prob have hardly any lumens.

What is the humidity in your room Sx? Looks like they are beginning to have a little transpiration trouble. Other than that,...yum!

the room itself is low. within the dome it's 100%.i have a humidity meter attached to my thermometer.

oops added something to the wrong thread. anyways forgetting the dome part.......Humidity will cause stretching also? is that why they got so tall so fast 20-30% humidity(my girlfriend cranks the house heat ALL THE TIME)

When the plant has a problem transpiring, the serations on the leaves begin to curl, independent of the rest of the leaf body, that's how you spot it (diagnose) The quick resolve would be to adjust your humidity but whether or not the plant is transpiring well depends on something that's more of a group of conditions that all need to line up.

For example, how well the pores of your skin move the water coming through them from sweating can be affected by whether or not you have a 20mph fan blowing on you,...lots of environmental things effect the plant as a whole to cause an issue like this.

Read up below on exactly what it is and then troubleshoot your room. Come back with what you came up with and I'll see if that sounds about right.

Transpiration

Transpiration is the evaporation of water
from aerial parts ofplants, especially from leaves but also from stems andflowers. Leaf surfaces are dotted with openings which are collectively called stomata, and in most plants they are more numerous on the undersides of the foliage. The stomata are bordered by guard cells (together known as stomatal complex) that open and close the pore.[SUP][1][/SUP] Transpiration occurs through the stomatal apertures, and can be thought of as a necessary "cost" associated with the opening of the stomata to allow the diffusion of carbon dioxide gas from the air for photosynthesis. Transpiration also cools plants, changes osmotic pressure of cells, and enables mass flow ofmineral nutrients and water from roots to shoots.
Mass flow of liquid water from the roots to the leaves is driven in part by capillary action, but primarily driven by water potential differences. In taller plants and trees, the force of gravity can only be overcome by the decrease in hydrostatic (water) pressure in the upper parts of the plants due to the diffusion of water out of stomata into the atmosphere. Water is absorbed at the roots by osmosis, and any dissolved mineral nutrients travel with it through the xylem.
Plants regulate the rate of transpiration by the degree of stomatal opening. The rate of transpiration is also influenced by the evaporative demand of the atmosphere surrounding the leaf such as humidity, temperature, wind and incident sunlight. Soil water supply and soil temperature can influence stomatal opening, and thus transpiration rate. The amount of water lost by a plant also depends on its size and the amount of water absorbed at the roots. Stomatic transpiration accounts for most of the water loss by a plant, but some direct evaporation also takes place through the cuticle of the leaves and young stems. Transpiration serves to evaporatively cool plants as the escaping water vapor carries away heat energy.

Stretch

Stretch is caused by many variables but the 2 biggest ones are

- light source too far from plant

- daytime and night time temps have large gap. You want these 2 numbers as close as possible to limit stretch.

Oh. sorry I was half asleep and very high earlier. I now notice most of my post doesn't make sense to me because I posted picture of a plant but was talking about the other plants I have..... OK so the AK has those curled leaves. has been like this since she was about 2 weeks I think. the humidity has been low because of it being an auto and I not wanting to worry about fungi. The highest I have gotten it was 50% for only about a day. but it was raining and I had a fan pulling moisture in. I thought anything below 50% was ok for a flowering plant. and 50 is about the range for veg(when mine are not even close but show no signs of humidity issues.) The picture of the G13 AutoAk on the Attitude shows the leaves looking exactly the same so I assumed it was a normal pheno of this strain.

Killing it!
Thanks haha, doing a 12ft x 19ft scrog is no joke. The other room is 2 - 5ft x 16ft scrogs. They can deff be a hastle. Ill show you pics of what happens when your plants stretch uncontrollably and there is NO room to tuck them and forced to let them grow tall.

These last 2 rooms have been such a shit show that i let them do what they wanted and just concentrated on veg and the new room that posted in my last pic is coming along much better and should be 2 feet above screen tops. Nice and even.

Those other rooms are reaching 6ft in height with all the plants have atleast 50 tops or so. Growth was insane cause my first time adding air bubblers to my hydro setup and letting them flood for alot longer. Poor man undercurrent. 800x faster bigger that i did not expect.

Literally cut my yeild in HALF.
