As the title mentioned, what are your opinions on who has the best nutrients for Hydroponics and/or Soil?

If you want to give more detail as to what they have in their line up throw it in there too.

As far as synthetics go i have no brand loyalty i continue to use cutting edge solutions only because its what i have and use the 3parts in different levels and don't want to mix lines. If i ever am low with all 3 parts at the same time i will switch to a cheaper more avaliable option.

Basicly they are all the same but due to proprietary practices and copy right just slightly different enough that i dont want to try and adjust regiments to use different brands.
I say go with what ever line you can get easily that is the cheapest

Yield, taste, and smell are not significantly influenced by the brand of nutrients; genetics and environment are determinant.

True to an extent, but they do play a part. Bad quality nutrients won't feed the plant to it's full potential causing it lack in many areas.

Give an example of a poor quality commercial nutrient line which would result in poor yield, taste, or smell.

I've used GH 3-part, DynaGro, FloraNova, Jacks 321, Maxi, Floraflex, Megacrop, and probably a few I can't recall. Other than DynaGro being low in Mg and S, they're more similar than different. I've grown the same clones with different nutes and get similar, if not the same results. The choice of nutrient brand is not highly correlated with the final product; genetics and environment are.

Nutrients are literally like cars; No single one is "the best". It depends on the application, the desired result, your value into it, etc

Case in point: I absolutely fucking LOOOOVE my Fiesta ST. Is it by any means the "best" car? --hard no. Is it "the best car for me"? --at this moment in time, abso freakin lutely. Same goes for my General Hydroponics nutrients; they're "the best thing" for my application & for what little money and effort I actually put into my grow, which i try to keep bare minimal.

Pound for pound though? --definitely natural compost. You're making "the best" use of waste to help create "the best" soil for "the best" output results.

Nutrients are all the same, made up of the same elements but often times in different ratios. If you have better luck with one brand vs another its because of the ratio and quantity of elements not the quality.

One of the best growers and breeders that I’ve ever known uses the tried and true General Hydroponics trio. Also uses municipal tap water straight without waiting for chlorine to dissipate. This guy grows fire!

Jack's or Athena

I wonder if Athena would send me some samples... time to try that line again
Got the Athena Pro kit in March and I'm barely gonna run out, great value. Not sure if that qualifies it as "the best" but it works for me, about to order more.

Athena Blended was okay. .. i just feel like I had to use way more (15ml of A and 15ml of B) where I'd normally just use 5ml of GH Nova. I LOVE Cleanse and will pay extra for that product rather than DIY my own bleach solution.
