Let's debate! 24/7 or 18/6 for VEG?

 I already made that note. :-P
Oh YEAH? Well.. you're ROUND!

Art versus science.

Honestly, outdoors is so much easier. Anyone ever had their sun ballast go bad? Ever trip on your extension cord to the sun? How about having the sun's timer go bad, eh? Sun blew out and it's a Friday, no overnight deliveries til Monday so you can't order a new one immediately! Not gonna happen. If I forget something, no worries, the sun still works, on time every time.

What about for the ones who just wanna be smart alecks or chop busters? Chuletas!

All kidding aside, I've always just assumed people run their lights seven days a week. :)

18/6 for life kid
there have been many tests to prove that plants during vegetation can only utilize up to 18 hours a day
although the rumor of leaving the light on 24 hours a day causing male plants is complete bullshit.. 24 hours of light is fine if you want to waste your electricity which is not free here in the states.
so in reality it makes no difference but 18/6 will save you money and is the way to go

i have done both 24/0 and 18/6......i think i will go with 24/0 next time. less internodal stretching (they stretch at night), and the plant will perform its "night processes" during the day if there is no night. only people with energy or heat concerns (running 2000+ watts) should do 18/6. i always use clones so i will have females either way as well.
24/7 and 18/6 is the same thing, people just use 18/6 to save electricity...
You're only half right. 18/6 is only useful for people who are conserving electricity... but 24/0 and 18/6 are not the same. With 24/0, the plants get 6 more hours per day of light. That is a HUGE difference.
