I'm thinking of breeding correct me if I'm wrong

I pick out my parents and breed them
Take the seeds and sprout about 20 of them
Take clones from the ones that look promising and ditch the ones thats not
Flower them then narrow down the ones that I like
Then take the clones from the ones I like and do I

Breed them? Or do I take the mother and breed it with the clone father?

I was thinking like I keep on breeding the ones I like and eventually it will be stable. Sounds confusing

So heres the short version

Breed mother and father
Then sprout the seeds and take clones just before flowering
Then Flower
Take the clones that has best result in flowering and breed them
Then repreat

Am I correct?

You have it down pretty good.
You have the seeds you want to breed, keeping if possible both the mother and father in clone. You have pollinated the mother, take those seeds and grow them out, like you say maybe 20. When you clone and then choose which plants have the characteristics you are looking for breed the father back to the ideal mother. You might do this to one branch, then take the ideal male from the new batch and pollinate another branch.
You then have the basis for finding the characteristics you are wanting and helping to cut down on the time needed to do this.
