Ok, so two things need to be stated here. One, I went away for the extra long weekend. I left mid-day friday and got back mid-day sunday, but when I came back i found something terrible. Another part of my problem I believe is that I switched from natural light to a flourescent system, but that seems odd as to the only reason. OK, so if you look at the pictures you will notice how the leaves are turning crispy and yellow. WHen I left, the water level was actually too high!! It had downpoured the other day and I didn't get them in in enough time, also why I changed to an indoor system. THese plants are now 8-9 weeks old, and other than a small amount of nute burn, I have had no problem until this. My friend sad he watered them on SUnday, but I watered even more after I got back and then a bunch today. Even sprayed the leaves when the lights were off. But nothing has changed so far. Is it just too little water, or maybe the shock of a new light type (I did buy 2 different kinds that were especailly desgined for plants), or something far worse? Any help would be awesome. THanks in advance.

Now that i notice, it seems to be on the older leaves (bigger ones, top and bottom, not just near the bottom) but not on the new growth. DOuble check with the pictures, but should I just trim the crappy leaves?

looks like you may need to flush. when you water stick your finger in the soil a couple inches and feel the weight of the pot, if it feels dry water and notice the weight of the watered pot and pay attention to that. sometimes the top could be dry and not the bottom. not giving a proper wet/dry cycle will cause lock up or burn them because they dont use the nutes properly
second what do you mean a light designed for plants, did it say grow light?

puffy,

The best thing I recommend to you is to read the GrowFAQ. All of your questions are very simple to awnser, it just takes a long time to awnser, thus the reason for few responses.

This is what I have gathered from you thread:

1) You have a "watering cycle."
-----This is bad because your assuming that your plant (a weed) needs alot of regular water. It is actually healthier for your plant to be DRY more often, this encourages strong and deep root growth. Which in turn creates a strong plant, and big buds. :)

Thus the "wet/dry" cycle bonz was referring to.

The best way to test this is to a) feel the soil (about 4" without damaging possible root structure); and b) feel the weight of the pot. If you feel the weight of your pot before and after watering you will begin to notice the difference. In all its better to wait until your plant shows dehydration signs before watering, than to over water (which will cause root burn, salt build-up, WILTING (will look dehydrated also), and worse of all root rot)

2) Your plant is more than likely root bound!

I noticed you have at least (or so it appears from your pic) two plants in one pot. This is a big no no. I did that (by accident) on my last grow, and my plant (as it died slowly and painfully) showed the same signs. It then was severly stunted in growth, and eventually died.

From my experiance, a plant loosing in "root space compitition" will show many signs of nute problems (defficiency/or burn), look to be under watered, etc. This is because it cannot aquire the appropriate root system to do so...

I don't have time to talk about your proposed light system (work in 1hr).... All I can say is to please read the GrowGAQ. Keep us updated, and good luck! :peace:

that is what i was talking about, thanx bud. to start with if your going to use nutes be consistant not once and a while, confuse them. second the lights with grow light on it dont work, for veg you need a high kelvin # like 6500k and flower lower k like 2700k. for flouro tubes use phillips natural daylight bulbs, i use those and i like them., thier cheap of course mh is better but for cost.
flushing would clean all the salt build up if there is. it just looks like it may be burnt on the ends or mabee just to hot. i have a plant problem diagnoser i posted in here look for it. theres good info and pic`s

so during the veg stage i want high kevlin and during flowering kind of low? I got that red phillips and some grow light from home depoti guess. i am about to go into flowring so i will check when i go back to home depot and get a low kelvin lamp. btw, i cut all the leaves that were fucked up as they were all the old big leaves.
