Lemon Skunk in Northern New England?

anybody tried Lemon Skunk outside in Northern New England? I have a beautiful bush that I've been vegging since Feb 1, bursting w/ female preflowers. I was going to flower it indoors but I just found a partner with a more private garden who's willing to grow it into a monster! My flower closet's gonna be hittin high 80s no matter what I do in June, and I've read this strain is sensitive to heat. So, with good care, does this strain do ok outdoors up north? Will it likely finish by mid October (ideally)? In my part of the world we can easily have a few days in the summer that hit 88-90 degrees, and a few nights that might randomly be in the low 40s. But for the most part we're between 50 at night to max 83 during the day until september-october, where the temp might drop into the 30s. Finally, since my friend's house is nearby, we could take precautions to protect it from frost, but the weather's the weather, you know...Thanks in advance for any info.

aloha from Hawaii! I'm a lover & grower of Lemon Skunk. As a matter of fact. I love that strain so much, that every grow I do has at least one Lemon Skunk, if not more! I've grown it inside & outside with great success.

As for heat, if you're growing "Greenhouse's version of "Lemon Skunk", heat shouldn't be an issue. Do you know what version of lemon skunk you are growing? Besides Greenhouse's version, DNA Genetics also has a version of Lemon Skunk too. How you tell the difference. Greenhouse's version is from the old "Amsterdam Underground". It is very pungent with a 'Citral'[sp] sent to it. DNA's version of Lemon Skunk is good but it truly isn't even close to GH's Lemon Skunk.

But all in all, I'd let my skunk deal with the heat before i'd subject it cold unrelenting weather. Good luck.

Hey thanks for taking the time to help out! I agree, this plant is awesome so far, and it's only in Veg! I'm not honestly sure which version I have, though I think it's DNA's version. I got like 8 free feminized beans from Attitude when I ordered Auto Ak from lowlife, and most of them were from DNA. I can't confirm with this one though. It's already very pungent smelling with a skunky but sweet smell, and it has a very sativa phenotype with thin leaflets and lots of side branching. I trained it rigorously to grow into a big bush, but I think if I had let it go it would be pretty lanky right now. I'm really torn with this decision actually, because I could make it such a monster outside if it worked out, but I could also lose this wonderful plant! My flower closet currently just has 1 big indica (and some tomatoes), and a 400w HPS, so there's room for one more big one. I've got great airflow/exhaust, and the light's on at night, but the temp still might spike up....

Basically, I've got two big bushy plants I've been veggin since february, one's this Lemon Skunk and the other's DNA Lock Stock, which is a inidica-dom hybrid. They're both looking great, but since I'm already flowering a DNA Rock Lock, I only want to flower one of these inside and grow the other outside in a safe spot. Tryna decide which one. I feel like the Lock Stock, as an indica, would probably have better mold resistance and temperature stress tolerance, but it wouldn't have the potential to get as big right? It seems like the Lock Stock might be at max yield potential indoors, whereas the Lemon Skunk could yield most outdoors. But if the lemon skunk doesn't do well with cold, maybe I'm better keepin her safe and risking it with the more Indica- heavy Lock Stock. Thanks again for helpin me out, and if you got any more advice about this, I'd love to hear it. Best of luck to you!

P.S. Your plants, and state, look awesome man!!

your more than right about it probably being DNA's version of Lemon Skunk. I'm aware of Attitude's great freebies. I also use DNA Genetics aka Reserva Pravada for seeds to. I actually have an order of 'Lemon Skunk' seeds from GH, and Rocklock from DNA. Rocklock is a hybrid alright. It's parents are 'Rockstar', & 'Warlock'. Two very good strains. Warlock is great for volumn, if you're a commercial grower.

Auto flowering plants. I tried a few strains(Diesel Ryder, Easy Ryder, & White dwarf) this year. Have you grown them before? I don't think I'll be wasting anymore money on them that's for sure. I enjoyed the novelty of it all. But to be honest. I wish I had spent the $$ on other seeds. If you can get one ounce you'd be lucky in my opinion. Some people I spoke to who are into auto flowering strains say B-1 is alll they need, and other say all they need is deep soil pots & water.

Again, good luck my friend
